Jordyn and I ended up hanging out the whole day, he was so sweet. He really did mean it when he said that he'd buy me food. I ended up learning that we have a lot in common, too.

After the day ended, we exchanged numbers, and then I left.

I walked inside, smiling from ear-to-ear. I don't even know why, it was just... a good day.

"Mae! Are you hungry?"
"No, I'm good!"
"We have guests," mom said, walking by the front door.

"Who?"

"The Michaels family."

I froze, without making a sound.
"Okay, are they here now?"

"No, they're on the way."
"O-okay," I stuttered. Then, I thought about Jordyn.

"Hey mom? Can I invite a new friend?"
"Sure, what's their name?"
"Jordyn."

I walked upstairs, texting Jordyn.

I heard the door bell ring; they were here.
I walked down part of the stairway, seeing Parker walk in with his little sister.

Parker's POV

I looked around, seeing how the house changed. They took down the faded grey wallpaper and painted the wall a cream color. They moved the shelves to the other side of the room, too.

I looked up, seeing Mae. She looked as stunning as always. She caught my stare, looking a little nervous. I immediately looked away, I can't go down that road again.

Then the doorbell rang again, and this guy walks in, hugging Mae. Who is this?

Mae's POV

I caught Parker glancing at me, but he immediately looked away, making me feel queasy.

Just then, the doorbell rang again. I ran down and opened it, seeing Jordyn.

"Hey," I said, smiling.

Jordyn leaned in for a hug and said hey back.

We all were sitting at the table, and the whole time, Parker kept giving me glares.

Jordyn kept making me laugh the whole time, dinner went fast with him there.

Soon dinner ended; I walked Jordyn out to his car. I hugged him goodbye, and then walked back inside, seeing Parker irritated.

"Who is that," he spat.

"Does it really matter?"
Parker froze, and then looked at me with no emotion.

"It's nothing, have a good night," he said.

Parker walked out the door, without saying a word again.

Maybe he was jealous, it doesn't really matter anymore though.
