Worth The Risk?

"Go 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 And turn and turn jump hold!" Giselle said, starting at the front for the dance space. A troupe had soon came up with another Qualifier Routine. It wasn't as good as the previous one yet but with some work, they knew they could get back to that level. It seemed Rachel was trying to improve herself as a dance captain because that day she was handing out positive comments and criticism everywhere she could.

"Okay guys, This is great! Well done, let's all take a 10 minute break and get back to it?" She asked the group, getting the dancers opinions we also high on her list for being a better dance captain. "Riley, Just make sure they when you turn you engage your core and keep your posture straight" Rachel commented kindly, Riley thanked her for the advice.

Riley POV
I'm seeing marked improvement with Rachel this week. Before she didn't know how to raise the moral of the team or anything. But it's great to see her with a smile on her head face. I also think that having Carmine as Co -Captian is really helping too!

"Excuse me, I have to go" Noah announced suddenly, it was a very important day for him. Amanda would be getting a report from the doctors and he would be meeting her at the hospital.
"Oh Yes, Okay you get going and please give Amanda our love!" She smiled. Noah nodded, he left the studio to head to the hospital!

Noah POV -
I hope Amanda Is OK! I need her back at the studio With me! I need her!

Toronto General Hospital

Amanda POV
I'm in the hospital waiting for my results and I'm so nervous. But Noah told me he'd cut rehearsals and come with me and I'm so thankful to him. This reminds me why i love him.

"Hey Amanda!" Noah called out, his girlfriend turned her head in his direction. "Noah. I thought you weren't going to come" She said. He had been a few minutes late, "Of course I was going to come. Has the doctor called you in yet?" He asked, Leaning over to give her a hug. She shook her head with nerves, "Not yet. I want to go in soon because as soon as I get back to the studio. The person who is standing in for me can leave"

Noah looked confused, "What Do you mean 'Standing in'" He asked, there was no stand in for Amanda as far as he was concerned. "Noah you're so funny - I mean the person that will be leaving A troupe on my return" Amanda answered, trying to jog her boyfriends memory.

Noah POV
I really don't know what Amanda is talking about. There isn't anyone that is standing in for her. I hope she gets good news because if she doesn't. That's two bad things about today.

The Next Step - Studio A

Emily POV
I'm just sat with Eldon and Chloe right now and we're all very confused about what is going on with the whole dance captain situation. It all seems to good to be true.

"So, how do you think Rachel is getting on as dance captain?" Chloe asked, She wasn't out to get at Rachel. She generally did have the teams best interests at heart. "I don't know what to think, last week she couldn't run the team or anything and now it's like she can do everything" Emily reasoned. Eldon was confused too, "Well Maybe it's becauase Carmine is supporting her? But as long as Rachel is strong enough to lead us to Multinationals - I don't really care"

Rachel POV
I enter Studio A and overhear Emily, Eldon and Chloe talking about me. Do they still not trust me to lead the team or are they not accepting of my decision to make Carmine Co-Captain? I don't know it just seems odd. I don't want any trouble with the qualifier coming up soon so I just walk out and pretend I don't know what is being said.

Toronto General Hospital

"Ok, Amanda? We're ready for you now" The Doctor came out of the room and stood in the door way, she beamed her eyes down on Amanda. "Can Noah come in with me?" She asked, holding his hand tightly. The Doctor thought for a second, "What relationship is he to you?" She continued to beam her eye down. "I'm her Boyfriend" Noah stood up and shook the doctors hand.

"Well, It's not usually aloud but because your so polite, I'm sure we can bend the rules now and then - Come in" She smiled and held to door open for the couple as they came in. "Take a seat and we can get started" She said. She picked up her glasses and collected a file from the shelf. "Now, I'm sorry Amanda but it's not good news" She began. Noah and Amanda's hearts both sank.

Amanda POV
My ankle isn't healed?

Noah POV
I can't believe Amanda isn't healed.

"It seems that You've Damaged the ligerments that run from the bottom of your leg to the ankle - Do you need surgery straight away!" She urged the news across. "So I can't dance?" Amanda asked, The doctor shook her head. "No Amanda, You can't dance and if you don't have this surgery soon - You won't be dancing ever again"

Amanda POV
I just don't understand, I've not had any pain with it or anything.

She turned to Noah, "What about Multinationals?!" Amanda sobbed into his arms. "I know, Let's just get out of here" Noah said, hugging Amanda tightly. The doctor smiled and told them she'd be in touch to arrange surgery dates. But Amanda wasn't having it, they walked home alone the high street.

"I'm just going to Nip home, Wait for me down here!" Amanda instructed. She didn't care what the doctor said. There was no way she wasn't dancing on A troupe. She's came down a few minutes later in her usual pink or purple dance clothes. "Amanda, What are you doing? Why are you dressed as if your going to dance?" He asked.

"Because I am"

Noah POV
This is bad news, She has to have surgery and she's going to dance?

Amanda POV
I know my own body, I've had no pain for weeks. No doctor is going to tell me what to do! I'm going to dance and there is no stopping me!

Next time - Amanda Reaches the studio, Will she destroy all chances of dancing again?
