"Shhh" I whisper. I swear if anyone says one more word I am going to strangle them. "I'm sorry, I can't help being loud!" Allison responds. "Just stop talking!" I say in a hushed, yet scolding tone.
"Guys, are you sure about this? We probably shouldn't be sneaking into a barn."
Yes—we are sneaking into a barn.
"It's okay, I've done this once or twice a week since I moved here." states Jess.
And yes—we are going there with a guy we barely know.
"It's totally abandoned, I promise."
Liz decided to stay at my house and cover for us in the case my mom wakes up. I'm not sure what Liz would even say, but she claims she would rather think of a reasonable excuse than trespass on private property at midnight. I think she is just scared of the dark.
