The music was booming. The lights were flickering in multiple colors across the dark room, colliding with the high ceiling above. She sat against the gate. She was all alone. So alone. People were everywhere, in the laser tag room, in the pizza shop, in the arcade and on the dance floor. She was the only one there; thinking and processing and discovering herself. The others were displacing themselves from reality, and forgot the real world existed. She was alone in knowing the night and time and the ever closer tomorrow.

Tomorrow she will wake up with a headache. She will regret drinking so profusely and she will regret trying to have fun. She will once again, upon receiving no texts, realize she has no one to care for her.

Tomorrow she will wake up with a sadness in her heart to go to his funeral. She will her the different statements from friends and family. She will see everyone he ever loved, she will see some he hated. She will feel guilty because she could have done more. Should have done more.

She will face the loss of her true love. She will know he never truest lives her back. She will wonder why he affected, no, affects her so. She will cry and cry after she gets home. Falls asleep crying.

This all happened from his night of bad choices. And now she is in her night of bad choices. She had to distract herself like all these people. But she seems to have been distracted from distracting.
