Well at least I can maintain my air bubble. I thought to myself as I waited for George to come back. I tried to get my leg free. But their was too much weight on top of it, and it hurt like hell. I took a few deep breathes to help control the pain, and looked around to see if their was anything that could help get my leg out. I couldn't see very well in the dim light, but I get make out something at the bottom of this watery dungeon. I reached down, and grabbed it. It was a branch. It was a bit soft from soaking in the water, but it might be useful. I jammed it next to my leg between the chunks of earth. It was just big enough to help relieve some of the pressure on my leg. I wriggled my leg, and tried to pull it out again, it came out a little bit but my foot was stuck on something. I started digging with my fingers around my leg careful to not upset the structure of this hole.
"Sammy?" George called swimming through the crack I had made.
"George. Did you find Percy?"
"Yeah, He is coming with frank they should be here soon."
"Okay, wait out there for them, so they know where to find me." George swam around my head and back through the crack. I kept clawing at the dirt, until my fingers a few of my fingers began to bleed. The blood floated around in the water and my fingers stung. A little blue fish swam through the crack in the ceiling.
"Hey, its me." I looked closer at the fish. Could it be?
"Frank?"
"Yeah, I know. I'm very small, but the crack you made wasn't very big. You're stuck." He said swimming closer to my leg.
"Yeah, I've been working on getting it out." I said showing him my fingers.
"Okay." He said. He closed his tiny fishy eyes then transformed into an otter. He swam to my leg and started digging, with his little claw hands. He was making much better work of it then I was. Digging carefully around my leg, as to not scratch me. I could hear digging above me, so I assumed that Percy was working on that part. It took about half an hour for Frank to dig my leg out. I pulled my leg out out of the wall and slowly sunk to the bottom. My leg was bleeding in a few spots and my foot felt very stiff. I suppose it could have been a lot worse. Frank stayed with me, until Percy dug through the ceiling. I swam up out of the hole, past Percy all the way back up to the surface of the water. I took a deep breathe of fresh air, and squinted at the low sun. Percy swam up beside me and pulled me into a hug before I could even object. I hugged him back and felt a little better.
"I'm sorry." I whispered into his ear. Frank still in otter form floated on his back beside us, and I could tell that George was swimming around my sore foot. The adrenaline started to wear off, and I was even more tired and sore then I was before. Everything ached, and my eyelids were heavy. Percy let go of me and could tell that I was exhausted. He looked pretty tired too. We swam back to shore, and I flopped on the dock too tired to move.
"I think I'll just sleep here." I mumbled, shivering from the cold.
"No, your not." Percy said, picking me up and carrying me back to our cabin. He sat me down on the edge of bed. He grabbed a towel from somewhere, and dried my hair(to the best of his ability's). He wrapped another towel around me and helped me into bed. Percy put my blanket over top of me, and the chill from being in the water started to go away but I was still shivering. I fell asleep almost instantly, after he put the blanket on me.

I woke up in the morning, the sun was starting to rise and Percy was asleep in his bed. I sat up and the blanket fell off of my shoulder. I wasn't very mad at Percy anymore. I know he was just trying to help, but next time hopefully he will mind his own business. I crawled out of bed, wrapping the blanket tight around me. I waked to the window with a bit of a limp and looked outside. I heard footsteps walk up behind me. I turned my head quickly and saw Mattie sneaking up behind me.
"What are you doing here?" I whispered.
"Can we talk?" Mattie asked.
"Dude, I just woke up." I whined.
"I know. I was waiting for you too wake up."
"Well thats not creepy at all." I paused. "Fine, we can talk outside." I walked outside quietly, with Mattie, and we sat on the steps.
"What do you want?" I asked.
"You're limping." He said looking concerned.
"I'm fine."
"What happened?"
"Earthquake." I said coldly. Mattie looked down.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you."
"How was I supposed to take it then?"
"Look, I made a mistake yesterday-"
"No, you don't get to say that. You broke up with me, we are over. No backsies." I said standing up. "Good-bye Mathew." I walked up the steps. Matt grabbed my arm.
"Please Sam, can't we start over."
"Not right now, Mattie." Mattie let go of my arm, he bit his lip and looked down.
"Okay, maybe later." Mattie walked away, and I walked back into the cabin. Percy woke up when I closed the door.
"What were you doing outside?" He mumbled, wiping the sleep from his eyes.
"Nothing." I said sitting back down on my bed.
"How are you?" Percy rolling over to face me.
"I'm good, my legs still a little sore."
"That's good, what are you doing up so early?"
"I can't exactly control when I wake up, unless I use an alarm."
"That's true, I guess. Are you still mad at me?"
"No, it wasn't really your fault."
"Okay just checking." Suddenly the started to rumble gently. "Sam?"
"It's not me." I said, at least I didn't think it was me.
"Are you sure?" Percy said getting out of bed.
"Maybe." I let my blanket fall around me. The ground shook more and a crack broke through the floor between us, revealing a long fall into a fiery pit. The Underworld. The crack widened getting closer and closer to Percy.
"Sam!" Percy shouted. I held out my hand trying to get it to stop but it wasn't working.
"I know. I'm trying." I closed my eyes, and focused harder on it.
"It's slowing down. I'm going to try and jump it." I faintly heard. A few seconds later Percy crashed into me, breaking my concentration. We fell to the ground with him have on top of me.
"Ow." I complained.
"Sorry." He said getting off of me. Percy slipped getting up and fell. I jumped after him and grabbed his hands, unfortunately my plan didn't work. Percy dragged me down with him and we fell down into the Underworld.
