"Ow." Percy said. I may have landed on top of him. I rolled off of him onto something firm but soft. A pile of mattresses.

"Sorry."

"Are we..." Percy started, his eyes closed as he recovered from me crushing him.

"In the Underworld? Yeah, we are." I sat up and surveyed our surroundings.

"Any idea where?"

"Um... A giant pile of mattresses.

"Ugh." Percy groaned.

"Any ideas on how to get out of here?" I asked. Percy groaned as he sat up.

"I think we are by Elysium." Percy said, looking towards the only place that radiated happiness in the Underworld.

"Yeah, you are." Said a voice from below us. I looked over the edge of our mattress mountain. Standing there was a boy about my age, with dark hair, green glasses, and a light splash of freckles on his face.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm Jacob, you must be Samantha."

"I prefer Sam or Sammy."

"Cool, want some help getting down?"

"Why should I trust you?" I asked, my red hair falling into my face.

"Because I'm offering to help you off of a giant pile of mattress. Where is the guy I heard?"

"That was just me practicing my manly voice." I said sarcastically. He looked at me, slightly annoyed. "He's up here obviously." Percy crawled up beside me.

"Hey." Percy said.

"Hades requests your presence at his house."

"Okay this might be a better question. What are you?"

"Doesn't matter. I've been ordered to give you this message, and now that I've done that would you like some help down?"

"Does-"

"Yes, please." Percy said cutting me off, before I could insult his intelligence. Once in awhile I try to be a nice person, but it's very hard to not insult people. Like does it really look like I need help off of these mattresses? I mean I do, but still.

"There's a ladder on the other side." He said before he disapeared. I rolled my eyes, and crawled over to the other side of mattress mountain, and down the ladder Percy followed behind me slowly.

"So, I guess we have to go through Elysium to get to Hades." I said looking at Percy.

"Seems like it." He said holding his ribs. We started walking towards Elysium. It Looked pretty far away, at least for me, cause I'm lazy and like sleep.

"How far do you think it is?" I asked Percy.

"Distance is hard to tell in the Underworld. It looks about an hours walk."

"Okay... Are you okay you're still holding your ribs?"

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure? I've been hanging out with Will and Nico. Will's shown me a few things. Can I take a look?"

"Since when have you been hanging out with Nico and Will?"

"Usually when you are off with Annabeth, and since me and Mattie have been fighting. So can I take a look?"

"Okay." Percy said.

"Lie down." I ordered. Percy lied down on the ground and I kneeled next to him. He pulled up his shirt. His chest and stomach, had a few big bruises on them. I felt his ribs, he winced in a few spots on his left side. Percy was taking small breaths. "Percy does it hurt more when you take a deep breathe?"

"Yeah." I looked at him and sat back on my feet.

"I think you have a few broken ribs. Unfortunately I really can't help you with that."

"Great." Percy groaned, sitting up. "We should keep moving." I helped Percy stand up, and we kept walking, towards Elysium.

"You have your sword right?" I asked.

"I always have my sword, you're a little less lucky." I looked down at me feet. I had completely forgotten that I didn't have any socks or shoes.

"Not completely unlucky though." I said pulling out a pocket knife from my back pocket. Percy nodded and I tucked the knife back into my pocket. We walked until we reached the border of Elysium.

"So we can just walk in, right?" I asked.

"As far as I know." Percy said. The ground switched from dirt to green grass, and the air got easier to breathe. People were laughing and walking around with drinks in their hands, hanging out by the pools, relaxing in the shade under trees. This place looked like paradise. Well, it technically kinda is. A sun floated overhead, in a beautiful blue sky. Don't ask me how their is a blue sky and a sun, even I don't know that. This place looked bigger, then I had initially anticipated.

We walked for awhile until I accidently bumped into a blonde girl with grey eyes. She looked a lot like Annabeth. I heard Percy take a deep breath beside, he calmed down when he realized it wasn't her.

"Sorry" I mumbled.

"It's okay." She said in a high pitched voice. "Hi, my name is Rose."

"I'm Sam."

"I've heard that name before, come with me."

"We're in a bit of a hurry." I protested.

"Oh, it won't take too long come along, you can bring your guy friend with you." She said grabbing my arm and pulling me along, I quickly grabbed Percy and dragged him with me.

"Where are we going?" I asked, her little fingers digging into my skin.

"Hold on, we're almost there. Alex!" A guy with short brown hair and  golden eyes, came running up.

"Rose, why do you insist on bringing every Sam you find to him. Face it she's probably not dead."

"But this one matches the description." Rose insisted. I looked at Percy confused, he just shrugged. Alex looked at me.

"Becky, what do you think?" He called. A girl with long dark hair and caramel skin came and stood beside Alex.

"Possibly." She said with a thick accent that I couldn't quite place. "It wouldn't hurt to try. Who's the boy?"

"I don't know, she was walking with him." Rose said.

"You didn't even bother to ask him his name." Alex said. "Wow, you must really think it's her."

"Okay, bring them in." Becky said, walking through a door with an orange sheet covering it. Rose dragged me through, followed by Percy and Alex.

"She found another one." Becky said knocking on a door. A boy with blonde hair and blues eyes came out of them room. He stopped and stared at me.

"Sam?" He said. I stared at him.

"Cole." I stuttered.
