Magnus woke up feeling like he could jump 60 feet in the air(even if he wasn't an einherji). He was going to visit his cousin, Annabeth, in her summer camp, which he had been informed is for Greek demigods. Annabeth happens to be a Greek demigod, or a child of Athena. Magnus is a Norse demigod, a child of Frey(no, not FreyA, Frey. No "a"). He was packing his things so he could leave as soon as possible. Of course, he was really excited to see Annabeth, but he also wanted to see what her camp was like. From what she had told him, it was pretty sweet. Magnus wondered how it would compare to Valhalla. His standards had kind of changed since he stopped being homeless and started being... dead. But, that's a story for another time. He zipped his suitcase and walked out the door of his room, where he was immediately met with an ax digging itself into the wall inches near his head.

He would've freaked out if he wasn't used to this kind of thing by now. He saw his friend, Mallory Keen, running towards him, shouting her apologies, although, she was probably dissapointed she didn't hit him. Magnus had learned a while ago not to take those kinds of things personally.

"Really, I am sorry. I didn't mean to almost kill you again," She said. Magnus assumed it was meant to be sincere.

"Not biggie. At least you didn't actually kill me. That'd be pretty inconvenient," He said, trying to manage as much sarcasm as possible. Mallory laughed and pulled the ax out of the wall, running off to do gods know what. Magnus sighed and started walking to go find Sam. She had offered to fly him to the edges of Camp Half Blood. Annabeth had assured them that since they were Norse demigods, there would be no issue with them getting into camp, but they didn't want to risk it.

As he was walking, he heard footsteps behind him. He completely expected to be impaled with a spear by whoever was behind him, but luckily, he was spared that pain in the ass. Alex Fierro jogged up beside him, falling into step. She was wearing a pink and green sweater vest, skinny jeans, and rose high tops as usual. Her green hair with black roots was ruffled up, probably due to her not brushing it when she woke up. Her mismatched eyes made them stand out just a bit more than all of the eccentrics of her outfit.

"Where're you going, Maggie," She asked, tucking her hands in her pocket.

"I'm gonna visit my cousin, Annabeth, in her demigod camp," Magnus said, calmly. This was definitely the weirdest sentence to ever leave his mouth. Alex raised an eyebrow.

"Demigod camp? You mean you have a living relative who's related to Frey?" She asked. Magnus shook his head, brushing his hair out of his face.

"No. She's a Greek demigod. Her mom's Athena." Alex just shrugged and turned her head forward, as if realizing that Greek gods also existed was no big deal. She was cool that way. She eyed his suitcase.

"How long are you gonna be there?" She asked.

"About a week. Why?"

"I want to come with you." Magnus stopped and turned to Alex.

"You want to go to a demigod camp?" He asked. He would never understand how Alex didn't feel nauseous every time the word "demigod" was mentioned. She would have to give Magnus some pointers, because it certainly kicked his ass on the daily. She shrugged again, digging the toe of her shoe into the carpet.

"Why not? It'll be fun. Also, she'll probably think you're some kind of loner weirdo if you show up along. She wouldn't be wrong, but I'm sure you don't want her to think that," Alex said, a grin spreading across her face. Magnus rolled his eyes, but smiled.

"Well, what the Helheim. Sure. Sounds fun. I bet Annabeth won't mind. She did say they had plenty of extra space," Magnus said. Annabeth also said a forest bordered the camp, and it was full of demigod hungry monsters, but Magnus actually wanted  Alex to come, for some reason. Alex grinned even weirder.

"Awesome. Let's go meet your weirdo cousin."
