Remember what I said about bedrooms being secure?
I was terribly wrong.I skipped happily to my bedroom to secure Jack's birthday present...only to find a couple smooching on my precious, innocent bed. I didn't see their features clearly as only the dim light beside my bed was on but I don't think I would have liked what I saw.
I am not lying, I shrieked out of shock, so loud the guy on top also yelled out some curse words before jumping off the bed.
"Tyler?!" I yelled in surprise and disgust. "Seriously?? On my bed??" Tyler quickly grabbed his shirt on the floor and put it on. "Jules, I'm sorry. This happened...very fast." The girl, whoever she was, ran out of the room as the fight between me and Tyler raged on.
"You are supposed to look out for this kind of inappropriate activities, not PARTICIPATE!" I shouted at him. He groaned.
"You don't know how long it has been since I came back here. I missed this very much..." he confessed. It didn't take a genius to know Tyler and Gabriel came from "someplace else", they have superpowers, for God's sake. I sighed and nodded in defeat. "Fine, just make sure this doesn't happen again."
"You have my word. I mean it this time," Tyler replied, putting up a serious face, which quickly changed into pure curiosity seeing the gift in my hands. "Someone gave you a present?" he asked.
That made my heart flutter once more. Studying my expression, Tyler gasped, "Your Jackie??"
"Don't call him that, it sounds weird when you do it," I replied instantly, not wanting to directly answer yes.
"Okay, okay," he replied, putting his hands up in surrender. "I'm happy for you, Jules. But I'm pretty sure you are happier than me, probably the happiest girl in the world right now."
"It doesn't take Sherlock to see it!!" I exclaimed, not being able to hide my excitement. The butterflies in my stomach rebeled again, well, this time, strangely a lot more than usual.
"What did he choose? Let me see," Tyler approached with a smirk. I put my fingers on my stomach, acknowledging the strange sensation gathering within. My body felt lighter all of a sudden and my vision blurry. I heard echoes of my name as I blink hard to find the source. It is nowhere than Tyler standing a few centimeters away, calling my name with a worried face.
I focused to hear him say, "Jules, what's wrong? You don't look well at all," he said trying to reach for my face. His hand stopped as I felt myself emitting an aura around. He backed off gazing at the light blue glow circling around me.
"I...I can't control..." I whispered. "Tyler...what's..."
"Jules, I need you to calm down right now. Everything will be alright," Tyler tried to assure me before muttering to himself, "Damn it, it doesn't usually happen this early."
"Tyler!" A loud warning escaped my lips as I felt myself release something powerful, I couldn't explain but it was like the 'power' I had getting out of control. A blue wave headed towards Tyler, which he quickly averted. "My gods, that was close," he muttered before closing his eyes and snapping his fingers.
I suddenly felt another presence in the room. I quickly turned to see Gabriel, before I could stop myself, ice spikes slipped away from my body. Gabriel quickly raised his hand to pause the spikes, clutching it again for the spikes to rest on the floor. "Jules!" he worriedly exclaimed.
"It has begun. It is too early, I know, but it has," Tyler assured Gabriel. "You think?!" He replied panting.
"What?? What has begun??" I asked.
"Jules," Gabriel called as he approached. "No, no, no, you might get hurt!" I yelled but he shook his head. "We are of the same magic, you can't easily hurt me. The last time I went under your spell only because I was careless. Not anymore. Tyler, lock the door." Tyler nodded.
