"It's time to go hun," says Dad. I take two little boxes that are left and look around our room for the last time. I block out the old memories that are trying to force themselves back into my mind. I walk through the house one more time and walk out the door, shutting the door quickly behind me.

We are moving to South Carolina, because there are a good amount of jobs and some of my Dad's cousins live here. I will miss the cool, Michigan weather though, since it's always warm in South Carolina. We arrive at our new house on Friday morning, when the sun is just coming up. When we arrive I am sleeping in the back, drooling on my pillow. Dad doesn't bother to wake me, so he jumps out of the car and slams the door. Startled, I fall face first onto the floor and cut open my lip. "Damn it, Dad." I whisper to myself. Half awake, I slip on my shoes and hop out of the car. "Morning, Clare! Come help me with the boxes," yells Dad, as he chuckles at me. I take a box and turn around to face the house. The house is old, looks like it was made in the 1930s. It was beautiful, with dark red bricks that it was made out of. It had oval windows, which many modern houses didn't have. I think it's a Victorian house, but I'm not  completely sure. My Dad fumbles with the key in the lock for a minute. When it finally opens, we step inside anxiously.
