"Clare" he says softly behind me. I turn around and glare at him. His friends are staying behind, staring at us while we fight. Their eyes burn into my mind, as they are embarrassed of us. "What?" I say, basically spitting my words at him. His eyes shift from his friends to me. "I'm sorry. But in all honestly, it would be safer for you not to know about us." he says. A part of my anger leaves me and is replaced with wonder. Safer for me? I need him to find out about my mother though. "Come by my house later, and we will talk about my safety." I demand, trying to sound as tough as I could. I pass him some directions and he eyes them without responding. Before I leave, I look to the other two boys. They look at me and one of them sends me a little smirk. I turn away, and walk through the forest again to get to my house.

When I open the door, I really take in the house's appearance. The chandelier above me is quite beautiful, looking like an ocean. The lights are in the middle as the glass appears in swirls, like a wave. In front of me, there are two staircases that both lead to an upper-floor. In the middle of the two staircases is a hallway that leads to the kitchen and living room. The house is quite beautiful, but very drafty. I run up the right staircase to go to my room on the second level. There is a long hallway which leads to 5 rooms. I turn to the right and go down to the end of the hall. I open my door on the left, step inside, and close it quickly. I get some clothes and run to my bathroom across the hall from my bedroom. Nope, don't have a bathroom in my room. Ha, the house isn't THAT fancy. I put on a Batman shirt and a baggy pair of blue jeans. My shirt is perfectly tucked in when I have my pants on. I brush my hair then continue to put it in a bun. I take off my glasses before I wash my face. I let the water get cold then splash it on my face. I love the feeling of cold water, it was so relaxing. I replace my glasses, which are quite nerdy looking. I look in the mirror, actually pleased with myself. Comfortable and clean, just the way I like it. I walk out the door, go downstairs, and proceed to the kitchen to make some food. Everyone in my family are natural cooks, so it's no surprise that I am good  at cooking myself. I whip up some spaghetti and put all my secret ingredients in it. What if he is allergic to this? I shrug it off and finish the spaghetti. It smells like an Italian restaurant after I'm finished. While I'm cleaning up, I hear a knock at the door. "One minute!" I scream as I continue to clean up. At this point, the knocking got faster and louder. I run to the door and open it quickly. "Hey-" I say before I interrupt myself with a scream. What I see made my skin crawl and my body turn stiff and still. Standing there was someone that I never thought I was see again. Dani.
