I smile at him and hold out my had. "My name is Clare, Clare Walters," I respond, watching him closely. He shakes my hand, smiling brightly at me. He grunts and then his facial expression turns serious. "You can't tell anyone this happened, you understand?" he asks sternly, raising his finger at me. I shake my head and say "I don't think they would believe me anyway. And why were you out here today?" He looks at me and says "Is that really your business?" I grit my teeth and say "Well I think it's now, since I just watched you cut off a ...vampire's head." I start walking toward the school angrily. He follows behind and catches up with me and asked "And did you ever say thank you?" I feel bad and say "Thank you, Dean." We walk a little bit in silence before he interrupts the silence. "I wanted to hunt before school starts," he said quietly. "Hunting?" I ask, already knowing the answer.
He shifts uncomfortably and says "We hunt supernatural creatures for a living." I look at him, and he looks back. If what happened before never happened, I would have never believe him. But I do now. "We?" I ask, raising my eyebrow at him. "My brother, Sam, and I." he replies, watching our surroundings closely. The wind blows leaves on us and we laugh. "Well, for starters, that's freaking awesome. And I'm Clare." I put out my hand to him, and he shakes it firmly. "I already know that though," he laughs at me. "This is a better greeting, don't you think?" I say, giggling slightly. At that time, we had reached the school and we were walking through the front doors.
