Astrid

As I flew, I thought of Hiccup, how angry he must be that I am disobeying his orders. As I was thinking, Stormfly notices something. "What is it, girl?" I asked. She flew to an isle and I noticed an familiar dragon. It was David's Skrill. He spots us and starts to protect his Rider. "Hey, take it easy! I just want to-" I began to say but I saw that David was changing into something. His eyes turn red as a rose and he stares at us as if we are his dinner. "David?" I asked in utter shock. He was going to attack me but then stopped as he looks into my eyes and passed out.

David

I couldn't handle the power of my evil dragon side and it angers that I didn't do what it wants. That's why I didn't want anyone to get close to me or the fact my father will kill me if he finds out. When I heard about his passing, I felt relieved that he was dead. He wants all of me and will do nothing to stop until he get what he wants. I was in my hideaway with my Skrill, my mentor, Kevin. He knows about my evil personality and wants to help me control it. I saw a girl with her Nadder and I almost killed her on the spot! I couldn't do it as I passed out. I groaned as I woke to see the girl and the Nadder sparking firewood. "I see you're awake." She said, handing me a soup. "Uh, thanks." I thanked her. "It's the least I can do for the son of Drago Bludvist." She said. I was so surprised that she learned my identity so quickly that I didn't introduce myself. "You know him?" I asked. She was silent for a moment then said, "He attacked Berk and killed our Chief and my adoptive father." "I- I didn't know." I said, stuttering. "It's not your fault, David. You were curious, that's all right. I'm Astrid, and this is my Dragon, Stormfly." Stormfly looks at me and said, "It seems you have a problem, young one." "I do. Does she speak Dragonese as I do?" "No. She doesn't but Rider does." "Rider?" Astrid looks at me and asks, "What does she say?" "She said that someone can speak Dragonese. Maybe it can help me with you know my  "Dragon" problem?"  I replied. "Oh, you must be referring to Hiccup. He sees that you are like your dad, no offense." She explains. "Oh, so, why does Hiccup hate me?" I asked. "Because when I mention about the Chief... he's also his father." Yikes! That's why he hates me. "Did I do something bad when I was in my evil side?" Astrid thought and said, "Well, you attacked one of my friends and almost killing her and you wanted revenge for your father's death." "Really? I don't remember any of that." I explained. "Having a split personality is hard to deal with, isn't? Don't worry. I'll figure something out to separate the two of you." Really?"

Astrid's flashback five years ago when Stoick took her in as a Haddock: "Stoick you really wanted to adopt me? "  I asked as I approached the Haddock Househould. "Astrid, one day you will become a chieftess of Berk. You have to think of others, even though they are our enemies. You must have the faith and courage to do what is right."  "You really think so?" I asked. He nods at me and gave me a tight hug. "Everyone has a past they can't escape from. You must guide them. Remember this advice... daughter."  I nodded at the Chief, "Yes... Father."

Eric

I flew with Light and that's where I spotted her. Astrid was having a conversation with the enemy! I knew that she must be in danger. "Astrid!" I yelled as they were in utter shock that I was there. "Eric!" Astrid cries as we landed. "What you doing with him?!? He's dangerous!" I asked with anger. "David is not dangerous. He's my friend now." She said calmly. "We're friends for real?" David asks with surprise look on his face. "Of course. I wouldn't be here if we're fighting one other, isn't?" He rubbed his head in embarrassment. "I guess you have a point there, Astrid. I really think you should head back to Berk. Like he said, I'm dangerous." She touches his shoulder, "David, Stoick gave me a advice that I shouldn't think about myself and think about others who needed help, even though they are enemies. I am going to help you one way or another." I was impressed of her words. "It seems like Stoick raised you well. You should be a Chiefness of Berk one day." She shook her head, "I'm not ready for that lifestyle yet, Eric. I still have a lot to learn if I would be one. Right now, Hiccup is the right person for the job. Speaking of Hiccup, he sent you, didn't he?" I said, "He suggested that someone should go after you because you might be in danger. I volunteered and left." "Oh." I heard her say. I sighed, "So, will someone explain what in the name of Thor going on here?" Both Vikings sighed. Astrid explains David's problem and I was speechless. "Wow. That's kind of process this." I said. "Tell me about it! I couldn't handle myself! I really don't want to be like my father was. I don't know what to do." David said, scared. "Don't worry about a thing. I'm sure we'll figure this out." I said. The Vikings looked at me, "Did you just say, "We?" Astrid asks. "We're a team, aren't we?" I laughed. That's when David and Astrid started to laugh. "I guess that this is a start of a new friendship." David said. "How we can keep a secret like this?"  I thought.
