Gomfalion reaches the shore of the island. The guards up front immediately point their muskets at him, and he raises his hands in the air.

"Weapons down, men. This man means no harm," said the man on top of the ship as they bring their muskets down. "What's your name, fella? And why are you here?"

"I was a knight from the kingdom of Dreadhaven," Gomfalion replied. "I traveled away from Dreadhaven. I am no longer a knight."

"So out of all places, you would end up here, eh? Men, bring him to one of the vacant tents over there. Give him food, water and clothes. I will speak with him later," the man commanded as he jumped off the ship.

Gomfalion was taken to a small tent by the man's crew. He was given the things that the man commanded them to give. So he changes from his wet and damaged armor to a comfortable robe. He begins eating the food given to him, as the man walks into the tent.

"What's your name, kid?" he asked.

"Gomfalion"

"Greetings, Gomfalion. My name is Mortimer, and you are in the island of Lolosia." Mortimer warmly welcomed Gomfalion as he sat down on the table Gomfalion was sitting in.

"Lolosia? So you people are pirates?" Gomfalion asked curiously.

"Pirates? Of course we are!" Mortimer exclaimed. "Can't you tell from all of the ships, muskets, and raggedy clothing?"

"Well... Of course... But..." Gomfalion stopped and thought to himself, "Huh. This man is quite interesting."

Mortimer grinned. "I can tell you've been through allot. I have heard stories about Dreadhaven and I hear they're not good. Slaves being whipped everywhere, and battles being fought by the rebels everyday. I can't believe it! Were you part of the rebel organization?"

"Yes I was," Gomfalion stated as he looked around. "It was a terrible experience, but luckily I was able to find a peaceful island like this one."

Mortimer laughed slightly. "I'm surprised. You remind me of how I lived my life before I found this island."

"Really? How?"

"I once lived in the island of Drakonus when I was little. It was terrible," Mortimer stated. "There was this other pirate who wanted to take over the island. He was brutal. Killing innocent people at sight. After a few years, I figured I was grown enough to plan an escape, and so I did. During nightfall my crew and I stole one of his ships and sailed away! We ended up here, and we are still here until now."

"Amazing. We do have similarities, I'm impressed," Gomfalion said.

Gomfalion finishes eating the food he was given. They both stand up from their chairs. Mortimer offered Gomfalion a tour around the whole island, and Gomfalion accepts. So Mortimer brings him around the whole island from the shore to the houses to the insides of the ships. Gomfalion learns about the pirate's history, and how they become pirates in the first place. Now motivated, Gomfalion turns his sights to the ways of a pirate. He finally found a load of joy and adventure in the new life he lived.
