Tyler's POV
I was sitting in my living room and chilling. I could hear the rain pouring outside even if I was listening to music with my headphones on.
I sighed, and gave up on the idea of enjoying listening to my favorite tracks, so I put the headphones and my phone on the coffee table.
I suddenly felt uneasy, but I tried to shrug off that feeling. But it just wouldn't go away.
Another sigh escaped my lips as I stood up and walked over to the giant window located at the front my living room.
The curtains were shut, because I didn't like seeing the bad weather, so I opened them up.
I felt my heart beat speed up as I stood frozen in place and as if my feet were glued to the floor.
I found myself shivering and trembling with fear at the sight before me.
I saw three men standing outside the window dressed up in clown suites.
One was next to a gray sedan now parked in my driveway, one was walking up to my front door and one was standing opposite of me outside my window, gazing at me with a sickening smile.
I heard the sound of one of them trying to open the front door, only to discover that it was locked.
The one opposite of me frowned, but soon plastered an even more evil looking grin that sent chills down my spine.
He waved at me with his right arm, and held something out with hid left arm. A red backpack.
He stopped waving as soon as he saw my gaze had gone on the backpack and he started pointing at it with a wicked smile.
Soon after he pointed to the door as well. I shut the curtains, and afraid for my life, I went to check if everything was locked.
But when I turned to run towards the kitchen my eyes caught something and I could feel my heart stop beating.
The kitchen window was widely open and a clown was already entering my house, carrying a giant saw.
"AAAAAGH." -I woke up screaming at the top of my lungs.
My heart never beated this fast before, and I've never been more scared in my life.
I sat there on my bed, breathing heavily and trying to calm myself down.
I didn't understand why I was so scared though. The clown was stuck at the window, now that I look at it, and he looked like he was struggling.
I mean I get that it was still pretty scary, but what I don't get is why I would be THIS scared.
"Ty?"
I jumped, almost flying into the wall behind me as I forgot from all of that shock and because I was so scared that my boyfriend was here too.
"Baby, what's wrong?" -he asked, a concerned and worried expression all over his face.
"Oh...nothing, just a bad dream." -I replied.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" -he asked.
"Not really." -I said and crawled back in bed with him. He placed his arm around me, pulling us closer together.
"You sure you don't wanna tall about it? You know, you'll feel better when you let it out." -he said.
"Yeah I'm sure..." -I said.
"But thanks anyway Evan."
He pulled me into a hug which I gladly returned.
"How about we go back to try and fall asleep?" -he asked, pulling away from the hug but still held an arm around my shoulder.
"I don't know...what if I have that nightmare again? What if I'll have an even scarier one instead? What if I wake up again anyways? What if..."
My words were cut off by Evan pulling me into a passionate kiss. I slowly relaxed and deepened the kiss.
We pulled away for air, and he cupped my cheeks and turned my head to face him.
"If you're gonna wake up again, remember that I'm still here. I'll give you comfort and we can even get up earlier if you wake up around 6 in the morning." -he said and pulled me into an embrace.
"Whatever happens, whatever you dream of just know that if or when you wake up from a bad dream again, I'll be here." -he said.
We stayed in each other's arms like that, and I could feel both of us drifting away to sleep. But before I fell asleep, I whispered to him:
"Thanks Evan. I love you."
"I love you too Tyler."
And that was the last thing I heard before I dozed off to sleep.
~~~
I opened my eyes to the see sun light shining through my bedroom window.
I groaned, rubbed my eyes and went to stand up, but was pulled back by some force. I looked to my left to see Evan holding on to my arm.
He was still asleep, and he looked so adorable! He was also snoring a little but which made him even more adorable.
I smiled and snuggled closer to him. I heard a whimper leave his mouth and his eyes slowly opened.
"G'morning."
"Morning." -he said and grinned.
"What time is it?" -he asked.
"Uhh..." -I trailed off to look at the clock hanging next to my bedroom door.
"It's nine thirty-seven. Ish." -I said chuckling.
"When did you wake up?"
"Just now." -I responded cheerfully.
"No nightmares? No bad dreams?"
"Nope, thanks to you." -I said and kissed his cheek.
"Thank you." -I said genuinely.
It might have seemed like just regular comforting after a bad dream, but it meant a lot to me.
It meant a lot to me knowing that he cared.
I guess I don't mind having a bad dream, as long as Evan will be here to make me feel better.
