3rd Person POV

Craig and Marcel were asleep, and we finally had some peace and quiet.

The little dog, which they named Gizmo, was asleep with them too.

Evan and Tyler were by the fire, casually talking and watching the dark sky above, which was littered with stars.

"The view's amazing." -Evan commented.

Tyler looked over at Evan and he was looking at the sky with a slight smile. His face looked mesmerized, as if he's never seen the stars up until now.

"Yeah." -Tyler agreed and turned his gaze back at the sky too.

After a few more seconds of silence, Evan felt Tyler shift closer to him. He turned his head to look at him and was a little surprised when he saw how close they were.

"Evan..." -Tyler trailed off as his gaze fell to Evan's lips.

He leaned closer to him and Evan did the same. They were only inches away, when-

"Ow! He BIT ME!"

Tyler and Evan jumped up in surprise after hearing Marcel's frantic voice all of a sudden, and they stared at the shaking tent where he, Craig and Gizmo were sleeping.

Not even a few seconds after, Marcel shoots out of the tent and flies past Tyler and Evan. Gizmo comes out right afterwards and chases after Marcel.

As Evan and Tyler look at each other confusedly, Craig pokes his head out the tent and starts laughing.

"What the fuck happened?" -Tyler asked.

"Well, he got up to go take a piss, but stepped on Gizmo's tail on accident." -Craig explained while laughing, causing Tyler and Evan to laugh along.

~~~
After the three of them had a good laugh, and Gizmo decided to stop chasing Marcel because he was tired, they all went to their tents to catch some Z's after a tiring day.
Just like before, Marcel and Craig were sharing one tent, while Tyler and Evan were sharing the other. Gizmo fell asleep outside.
Tyler tried falling asleep, but to no avail. He sighed and turned to face Evan's back.
"Evan?" -Tyler whispered.
"What?" -Evan whispered back.
"You awake?" -Tyler whispered, making Evan chuckle.
"No." -He responded, making Tyler snicker.
"Seriously though. I can't sleep, and I'm bored." -Tyler whined quietly.
"Try to solve a math problem. I'm pretty sure you're gonna pass out right away." -Evan joked.
Tyler snorted and sat up. He lightly punched Evan's shoulder while Evan snickered.
"Agh, whatever." -Tyler said and laid back down.
He closed his eyes and tried falling asleep again. Moments afterwards, he heard Evan shuffle around his spot.
He opened his eyes and was greeted by a sight of Evan's sleeping face, resulting in him quietly laughing.
It wasn't a laugh of mockery, more of...delight. The delight to be able to see him in this sort of relaxed sleeping state.
Tyler's POV
The morning sun's rays shined brightly above the horizon, as the dark night sky slowly turned into lighter shades of colors.
I exited our tent and yawned, stretching a bit as I felt better that I was out of that cramped space.
I walked over to one of the duffle bags and pulled out a fishing rod. I wanted to do some morning fishing, since the others were still asleep.
Plus, I wanted to enjoy this rare peace and quiet, before the two idiot wake up and ruin it.
As I started walking towards the nearby lake, I heard tiny footsteps follow behind me. I turned around and saw Gizmo, wide awake, as well as giddy and jumpy.
I chuckled and crouched down to pet his head.
"Wanna come with me buddy? Wanna keep me company?" -I asked, and Gizmo only licked my hand in response.
I took that as a yes, since he followed me anyway.
~~~

I've been fishing for more than half an hour, or so. I managed to catch ten fish in total.

Gizmo had disappeared somewhere, and if I had to guess, he probably went back to our campsite.

I decided I was done for today, and so I just put away the fishing rod aside and just sat there, listening to the sounds of nature.

"Morning."

I jumped and let out a little scream as Evan's voice came out of nowhere. I turned around and there he was, standing there with a smug look on his face.

I glared at him, and he started laughing. Which resulted in me laughing along as well.

"Good morning. Sleep well?" -I asked, as he took a seat on the ground next to me.

"More or less. I don't really like sleeping on the ground." -He admitted, and I nodded.

We sat in silence for a few moments, the only noise being the animals and bugs in the surrounding area, before Evan spoke up.

"Hey Tyler?" -He asked.

"Hmm?" -I responded, not looking his way.

"What was- uh...what was that yesterday?" -He asked hesitantly.

I turned my head to face him and I shot him a questioning look.

"What was what?"

"Well...before we went to sleep, before Marcel upset Gizmo, when we were outside looking at the stars. At one point, you...looked like you were gonna kiss me." -He said.

"That's because I was going to kiss you dumbass." -I said, quickly turning my head the opposite was as I felt my face heat up.

I heard Evan chuckle and I turned back to him and shot him a playful glare, which turned to a grin shortly afterwards.

"I was just asking." -Evan said sarcastically, raising his hands up in defense.

I rolled my eyes and turned my gaze forwards onto the lake, mumbling a "shut up".

"Are Marcel and Craig awake yet?" -I asked.

"I don't-"

As if on cue, Evan was cut off by the screams of Craig and Marcel, coming from the direction of our campsite.

Both Evan and I simultaneously sighed, and I shook my head.

"Idiots." -Evan said, and chuckled.

"Agreed."

"Should we check up on them?"

"Mmm, nah. They'll be fine." -I replied, snickering.
