Readers p.o.v
As we left my house, I felt my heart pounding faster and faster, from fear and worry. Not only was I risking losing Mari, the only love of my life, but I was risking braking the law and getting caught. I know I was doing this for the better, and to save lives, but to a police officer I would seem crazy.
I sighed as we walked and Mari gently held my hand and looked at me and I looked back at him.
"Y/n it will be okay, I won't let anything happen to you"
"What about you?"
"I will be fine y/n don't worry about me" I looked down and stopped walking and he looked at me
"Y/n?" I looked down and he walked to me and held both of my hands "y/n please talk to me..." I looked down still and then decided that I had to tell him. I had to tell him that I was afraid of losing him.
"Mari...what happens if this makes you free too?" I looked at him and his eyes widened "Mari?" He then looked down and I felt worried
"I...don't know..." I fell silent, feeling my heart break. He looked afraid, and that made me even more afraid of losing him. I hugged him tightly and he wrapped his arms around me "y/n...I can't lie...I may disappear after this...but I won't ever leave you, I will always be by your side...you just might not be able to see me..." I began to cry and he held me closer "but I might not disappear, so let's just hope for the best, okay?" He looked at me and lifted my head and gently wiped the tears from my face
"I love you Mari"
"I love you too Y/n...now come on, we have a pizzeria to burn now" I nodded and wiped the rest of my tears and began to walk once again, until we eventually reached the pizzeria and stood, staring at it. Watching it made me realise how terrifying the place looked, let alone its dark secrets. And if the world found out it's secrets, more than just a few lives would be ruined. I was worried, afraid, but I had to be brave for myself, for the people, but more than anyone, for Mari, who was risking his own life to save others.
