Tammy's POV

"Hello, is this Tammy Lane" I pick up my phone.

"Yes this is she" I answer.

"I'm Karen from the local grocery store. I'm here to inform you that your application was approved. When would you be able to start" she asks.

"I can start tomorrow morning" I smile into my phone.

"Sounds great. See you then" she says before hanging up.

I begin jumping up and down while waving my arms in the air.

"Calm down would ya? Why are you so happy for" my dad leans against my door.

"I just got a job at the local grocery store" I smile proudly.

"Awe, you don't like helping out your old pal at The Spacelot" he fake pouts.

"Ohh come on dad, you know it's not like that. I'll always come and help you out whenever I can" I go and give him a hug.

"Awe, look at you growing up. I actually came up here to tell you that your new car is in the driveway" he hands me the keys.

"Thank you dad" I kiss his cheek.

"Hey, that's what a full summer of working for me gets you my dear" he begins walking downstairs.

I rush past him and open the front door.

---

"Krystal, look outside your front door" I hang up.

I see Krystal's big head pop out from the curtain. She immediately screaming and runs out her house in her pjs.

"You got your car" she opens the drivers side door.

"And I got a job at the local grocery store starting tomorrow" I cheer.

"Come inside and let me get ready. Let's go out and celebrate" she pulls me in her home.

"There's nothing to celebrate" I protest.

"Yes, it's your first real job besides working for your dad" she convinces me.

I just lay defenseless on her bed while she puts on her make up.

---

I'm driving to a location Krystal put in the GPS. She won't tell me where we are going.

"You've reached your destination" the GPS speaks.

We are parked in front of an indoor skating rink.

"Krystal, the line is so long. It wraps around to the back of the building" I point at the big group of people.

"Yeah, that's because there's a promo happening today. 90% off skates" she smiles.

We get out the car and make our way to the back of the building where the line starts.
