The cool brisk air hit my face, sending my hair flowing behind me. I sighed and closed my eyes. "So this is what heaven feels like. Cool, brisk air on my face. I love it." I make my way to one of the statues and sit down. 'Why does he love me though? I sincerely don't understand. I was a maid. Now a singer at the Oper Populaire?! I don't get it....' "May I join you?" A soft deep voice I always long to hear whispers closely in my ear. My face turns very red and I yipe. "Agh! Erik I said don't do that..." I bring my hair to the side. He chuckles. Goosebumps run up and down my body. "I can't help it. I am a ghost." I cross my legs as Erik sits a few feet away from me on the statue. "Oh please." I wrap my cloak around me,
For its a little too cold. "Erik?" He looks at me. His yellow eyes lock with mine. "Yes dove?" I blink a few times and wave my hand. "Nevermind." 'Whats wrong with you?! What were you going to say?! I don't know... Something.' We sit in silence for a while. "Am I still accompanying you at the masquerade Elise?" I smile and nod. "Yes if you would still like to. " Erik clears his throat and cracks his knuckles. "Yes I am to attend with you." Wait. 'Is he going to dress as the Red Death? To announce his opera yes, but for the party? I'm sure he has another suit or something.' I yawn and look out over the roof. "I shouldn't keep you here late. You should get to bed." I groan. "Fine." He hold out his elbow and I gladly hold onto him as he leads me to my room. Just as he is about to step in the mirror, he takes my hand and kisses my knuckles. "Until next time." I try not to squeal, and nod. With a swish of his cape, my Erik is gone. "Again. He is nothing like Gerik." I shiver and sit down, wrapping a warm fleece blanket around me. "Dreams do come true..." My eyes flutter closed as I drift off the sleep."Hi Elise!" Scarlett says to me. I wave for she is in the distance. "Hey Scar!" I run up to her and give her a hug. Erik comes out behind her. He stares down at me. "Erik? Scarlett what us Erik doing here?" She looks confused. "Whos Erik? The Phantom?" I laugh and nod. "Yea! Hes standing next to you!" She looks around. "Your hallucinating. He isn't real Elise." With those words, he disappears. I gasp.
I slowly wake up from a deep sleep. 'Weird dream.' I stretch up my arms and yawn. 'Oh I fell asleep in the chair.' I chuckle. 'You're odd Elise. Very odd.' My long hair curls down onto my face. "Agh." I grab a ribbon and tie it into a ponytail. I put on my sweater and a pair of shoes, and make my way out my door. No one is in the hallway. I go to to the kitchen and its still partially dark outside. "Oh its early." I whisper to myself. I skip quietly past my room and the dorms, to the large beautiful stage. 'Wow.' Gold figures cascade the all of the boxes. Small candles blown out line the stage. "Beautiful." I sit down out of sight and out of mind by the curtains. Something can be heard moving. My eyes glance to Box 5, knowing it might be Erik. No ones there. I tilt my head and becomes slightly scared. 'Its either Erik, a mouse, or someone else.' I stay silent as Alice and The Phantom come on the stage whispering. I hold on a gasp. 'WHAT THE FFFFFFFFFFF' Erik crosses his arms and looks down at Alice. "Alice please. I am already going to the masquerade with her, what more must I do? Should I sing to her?" Alice shakes her head. "Tell her how you feel. You can use that magnificent voice of yours, but just tell her. Not like a Phantom. Like an Erik." Meanwhile, I'm dying over in the dark infront of the curtain. I accidentally let out a squeak. They both look startled and I stop, drop, and roll under the curtain. Erik face palms. "This was a horrible place to negotiate." Alice sighs and comes over to me. "Elise, its alright. I don't say anything, and keep my hands over my mouth. "Oh dear. Erik you've terrified the poor girl!" He scoffs. "Me?! What did I do?!" 'He sounds like a child.' I stand up and uncover my mouth. Alice takes my hands and she looks me right in the eyes. "You heard everything right Elise?" I nod. Erik comes over and no matter how dark it is, I am positive he saw me blushing. "Elise. Good morning." I smile a little and look at Alice. She winks. I look up at Erik. He stretches out his hand. "I can help you back to your room if you would like." I immediately take his hand. "Yea. That would be nice." I intwine my fingers with his. He hesitates for a while, just standing there. He looks back at Alice. She nods and urges him to go forward. He intwines his fingers with mine. I smile very wide and we start to walk back. 'He doesn't know what to feel. I'm confusing him with my emotions.' I lean my head against him. Alice is a few yards away from us, just following behind. When we get to my room, he goes straight to the mirror. "Do not think more or less of me of what the things you have heard. It would break my heart to see you unhappy." 'EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE' "I think more of you each and everyday. Goodbye Erik." I give him a hug, and he gives me a small one. "Until we meet again, my Angel." 'HE CALLED ME HIS ANGEL WHAT. Elise youre a 19 year old woman, stop acting like a child.' Alice taps me on the shoulder. "I told you. He does have feelings for you Elise." I squeal and hug Alice. "Thank you so much for talking to him. I had no idea you and him were friends!" 'Where the hell is Giry?' She laughs a little. "Well, he considers me a companion not very much a friend." I smile and roll my eyes. "Thats Erik alright." She chuckles. "Well you should get some rest. The Masquerade is in only 3 days love." 'Oh shit it is.' "I know. Goodnight Alice." She waves and walks out the door, shutting it behind. I lay down and fall asleep quickly, thinking about my beloved.
