I sat down and put my sit belt on and smiled. Tae bought me this car on my birthday this year and I couldn't be happier. I asked for a regular ol' Toyota and he got me a white BMW. My smile disappeared when I realized I never get to drive it.
I sighed, backed the car up, and sped out of the neighborhood. Ten minutes later, I arrived at the mall's parking lot. I walked through the warm breeze of April and lingering stares to the nail salon.
" Justine, its been a while since I've seen you" Sade gave me a big hug
" I know, school has been taking up all my time, and Cam... " we both exchanged a laugh
We followed a lady to a seat and continued our convo.
"So what have you been up to?" I asked
" Nothing much, Im still working at the hospital, Ben is still doing going to gsu." She shrugged
Sade Wilson. I met her the last month of school, high school.
She was one of those pretty girls that stayed to herself and never talked to no one. Hair always slaying, outfits TO die for, and a resting bitch face, but she's the sweetest girl. She has been with her boyfriend since freshman year; they've never broken up, argued, or cheated. Straight goals
As seniors, we all had to spend a weekend with another senior we did not know and make a poster about them for English class. In my class, everyone had a pair, but Sade and I. She didn't like me because of the stuff she'd heard, but after one day of hanging out her opinion completely changed.
After the project we continued to talk and eventually became friends. Six years later we are best friends.
Six years. It has really been that long?
" Really? I never see him around. We must take different classes"
" Yeah he switched up his major twice already" she continued " he's deciding to become a forensic pathologist, I don't even know what that is but it sounds good" she giggled
" That's good, Im glad to hear that you're okay" I smiled and continued the conversation

Once our nails were done, we exchanged numbers and I walked back to my car, and drove home.
I walked into the house and closed the door behind me. I turned on almost all the lights and made my way upstairs.
