Serena smiled, moving a strand of her snow white hair out of her face. "They're ready, right Monroe?" She asked her blade spirit. He nodded, cracking his knuckles. "What are you planning, Serena?" He asked. Serena giggled. "I'm planning on testing them of course. The Pantheon is still around, right?" She asked. Monroe nodded, raising an eyebrow in curiosity. Serena smiled as she unsheathed a purple broadsword that had a black center. "Monroe, it's time we see just how powerful our new enemy is. We have the Pantheon on our side, correct?" She asked. The sword gleamed and Monroe's face was revealed. He nodded and Serena smiled. "Let's go ask them for help then." She murmured. She shut off the scrying mirror and stood up, walking over to a fountain. She threw in a coin for good luck, then approached a painting of the Olympian Pantheon.

Serena pressed her palm against the painting and her hand lit up, several runes appearing around her hand. The painting shimmered and glowed with a pure white light. She stepped through the portal and into a gigantic throne room. It had twelve thrones, each with a symbol that represented a god of the Pantheon. The throne room and thrones were empty, except for the biggest throne. On it sat an old man, his beard neatly trimmed and his eyes wide at the sight of the girl. "Serena, what are you doing here?" He asked. "I'm here to see you, Zeus. I need you to test Shadowraven and his team. I want to know what their capable of and, well, I thought of the gods and how powerful they are. Maybe you could somehow slow him down or stop him until the rise of The First?" She asked. Zeus shook his head. "It's madness, Serena." He murmured. Serena raised an eyebrow. "Madness? I'm trying to get The First to help me, Zeus. If you don't want us to help you rebuild this wretched world then fine, you'll be the first to die at his hands." She said. Zeus stood up, a thunderbolt in his hands.

"You dare threaten me?" He snarled. Serena unsheathed her sword and pressed it against his neck, the girlish twinkle in her eyes gone. She was no longer the playful Serena Monroe knew, she was now warrior Serena. Warrior Serena could kill gods with this blade. His blade. Zeus's thunderbolt disappeared and he raised his hands in surrender. "Now do we see eye to eye, Zeus?" She snarled. "Yes..." Zeus said. The blade was whisked away and sheathed. "Good!" Chirped Serena. That twinkle was back and Zeus felt himself calm down. "Remember Serena, just until The First rises." Zeus reminded. Serena nodded, then looked thoughtful. "Actually try, you know? Don't just slow him down, try and stop him. Shadowraven took on an apocalyptic before and won. A god is going to be a challenge, but an easy one if he could take on an apocalyptic at fourteen." Serena said. Zeus nodded. "I promise we'll try. We'll send Ares first." Zeus said. Serena nodded and skipped off, happily humming. Zeus sighed and called the Pantheon together.

The painting began to glow and Serena stepped through, back at her home. She stretched as Monroe reappeared beside her. "Was I too harsh?" She asked, looking up at Monroe. Monroe shook his head. "Serena, you were dealing with gods. Being harsh isn't your biggest worry." He scolded. Serena sighed. "Monroe, I'm twenty-one now! Stop treating me like a kiiid!" She whined. Monroe coughed. "You act like you're fourteen though." He replied. Serena puffed her cheeks and pouted. "I'm not acting like I'm fourteen! I'm just distracted!" She said. Monroe looked at her. "Only little kids puff their cheeks out and pout, Serena." He pointed out. Serena glared, still pouting. Monroe sighed. "Fine. I'll stop for now." He said. "Yay! Thank you Monroe!" She said, hugging him. Monroe patted her back, surprised at how childish she could be sometimes.

"Okay, so, while the Pantheon talks and stuff I'll get ready for the gala! Oh, wait, first thing's first!" She said, running over to her desk. She grabbed a sticky note, scribbled something on it, then snapped her fingers. The note disappeared and Monroe raised an eyebrow. "Sending Shadowraven a note. In the note is an invitation. The note was about me being at the gala!" She exclaimed. Monroe's eyes widened. "You didn't use your name did you?!" He shouted. Serena giggled. "No silly, I used the 'Light' alias, like you told me too!" She said. Monroe sighed in relief. "I swear, you're going to kill me one of these days." He said. "Aren't you dead already?" She asked, cocking her head to the side. He sighed. "Figure of speech, Serena." He chided. "Oh yeah!" She said. "Come on, we gotta get ready for the gala now!" She said, running upstairs. Monroe sighed and trudged upstairs, knowing that she was going to have a matching suit for him ready.
