Shadowraven: Ascension

Explanation

After everyone was introduced to Samantha, Shadowraven's face became serious. "Team, it's time for us to come back. I understand you have lives now, but new threats have appeared. The First has been completely awakened and a new villain has revealed themselves through this gear I wear now." He said, his face set in stone. He took off the mask and hat, then the gauntlets, then stretched. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a card. "The villain goes by the name 'Light'. They write these letters and attach them to the packages. Their plan is to use The First to plunge the world into darkness. The First will not work with this new enemy because he's determined to kill everything on the planet. We need to stop these two threats." Shadowraven explained. Tigerblaze grinned and nodded. "Back to action! I love it!" She exclaimed. Angel smiled at her girlfriend, happy to see her happy.

Blaze raised a hand. "Um, Shadowraven, we don't have gear. We all fought without gear the first time, but this is gonna be harder." He pointed out. Shadowraven chuckled and waved his arm in front of him. Five boxes appeared in front of him, each labeled with their aliases. "Are they safe?" Asked Keller. Shadowraven nodded and Keller tore his box open. His eyes widened as he pulled out a hoodie that had several slots to sheath knives, a pair of running shoes, some athletic pants, and several knives. "What kind of villain would give their enemies gifts?" He asked Shadowraven. Shadowraven shrugged as Blaze grabbed his box. Blaze pulled out a black jumpsuit that had a big red letter B on it. He ignited his hand and pressed it against the material. "Sweet, it's flame retardant!" He said. He ran upstairs with it, where Shadowraven assumed he would go put it on. Angel grabbed her box and pulled out a leather jacket, combat boots, leather gloves, and two shotguns that had several roses engraved in it. "Ooo, these are pretty." She said, picking up the shotguns. She set them down and put on the leather jacket, then the gloves and finally the boots. Angel walked to the mirror and smiled, surprised at how well she looked in battle gear.

Tigerblaze cautiously opened her box, her face serious. She reached in and pulled out a pair of tiger print cat ears, tiger print gloves, and a tiger print suit. Tigerblaze sighed, her annoyance clear. "Jerks. I have a demon soul, I'm not an actual tiger. Jeez, being the Akuma Tiger's vessel sucks." She said angrily. "They sent more..." Shadowraven pointed out. Inside the box was a beautiful daggertail, the center a magma red. Tigerblaze cautiously picked it up, admiring it's beauty. She smiled as she realized that underneath the daggertail was an acrobatics suit that was all black and had a Japanese war mask on it. "This villain has a sick sense of humor." Tigerblaze murmured. She took the suit and ran to the bathroom, leaving the daggertail and mask in the box.  Charmcaster stared at her box. "Shadowraven... Should I?" She asked. Shadowraven nodded. "It's for you Charmcaster. Open it." He said.

Charmcaster grabbed her box and opened it, then gasped. Inside was a purple cloak that had a white dove stitched on the back of it. The dove's wings were spread as if it were flying and it had a single emerald on its chest. She picked it up, admiring the cloak. She wrapped it around herself, then went back to looking. Inside the box was a blade made of ivory, a Rowan wood wand, a black shirt, black jeans, and a pair of boots. Charmcaster grabbed the box, then looked over at Angel. "Can I use your bathroom please?" She asked the fallen angel, who was still modeling. "Go upstairs and take a left. It's at the end of the hallway." Replied Angel. "Thank you." Charmcaster said, walking upstairs. Angel watched as the girl ran upstairs, then turned to Shadowraven. "So she's your sweetheart?" She asked. A faint blushed crawled on to Shadowraven's face. "She's an old friend." He replied. "You two have something though." Angel said, pulling out the two Desert Eagles. She spun them, then pointed them at the mirror.

Shadowraven shrugged. "All I know is that I felt something for her and for Rose..." He said, the memories rushing through his mind as clear as water. He sighed as Angel looked over at him. "You looked Sammy first though, right?" She asked. Shadowraven nodded, sighing.  "Can you stop the interrogation please?" He asked. Angel shrugged but didn't ask anymore questions. 

Shadowraven stretched, waiting for the three other members to appear. Tigerblaze suddenly landed in front of Angel, scaring her. "Dammit Kitty, don't do that!" She exclaimed. Tigerblaze muttered something and Angel suddenly looked down in shame. "You two okay?" He asked. They nodded, Tigerblaze staying serious and Angel refusing to look up. "If you two have any differences, solve them now. We don't want any personal problems getting ahead of this already big enough issue. Sorry guys, but it's them before us." Shadowraven said. The two girls nodded and Angel grabbed Tigerblaze's hand. She led her upstairs to her room, where Shadowraven assumed they were going to talk. He suddenly realized that he was alone with his thoughts. Keller had walked to the kitchen, Angel and Tigerblaze were talking, and Blaze and Charmcaster were changing. He sighed, hating the thoughts that flooded through his mind. Yes, he was glad everyone was back together but he just wanted to end this stupid fight. He hated dragging them into this after disappearing for so long but he couldn't help but smile at how happy they had been when he told them it was time to get back into action.

Someone cleared their throat and Shadowraven looked up. It was Charmcaster, wearing the gear their villain had supplied them. "How do I look?" She asked, smiling. "You look great." He replied, looking her up and down. Her smile got brighter and she tackle hugged him, taking him by surprise. "I missed you..." She murmured in his ear, causing him to blush slightly. He hugged back, unsure of how someone as gentle as her could hug him. "I missed you too." He replied.
