Isla Delaney wasn't okay, but she pretended to be okay.
When her parents saw through her facade, they wanted to help.
She refused to talk, to admit anything was wrong, so they sent her to the school's counselors office.
They hoped the woman would be able to get through to her, but they also knew their daughter.
Isla was good at pretending, she did it a lot.
A bright smile or a cheery laugh in a passing conversation made every aspect of Isla Delaney's life appear perfect.
However, it was far from perfect and she was yet to admit it.
Although, her parents were hopeful and supportive.
They just wanted to know the truth about her.
