Matching Tattoo ~ Phan Au

Chapter 1

Dans Pov
       I was talking to my mom it was only one week before my eighteen birthday I couldn't wait to see what my tattoo looked like. I wanted to start looking for my soulmate as soon as possible."I can't wait to meet my soulmate only one week till I can start looking" I told my mom excitedly. My mom just chuckled at my excitement and said "Be patient you might not find them right of the bat and if you don't you can't become discouraged."
"I know mom but I'm just so excited!"
I finished my breakfast and headed off to school blasting music through my headphones as I walked. As soon as I walked through the front doors of my school I was attacked by my best friend Louise.
"Only one week till the big day how do you feel" Louise asked.
"Nervous but excited" I replied.
"There's no need to be nervous they're your soulmate they have to like you" Louise said trying to lighten the mood.
Then the bell rang and I started heading to class to sit through another extremely boring and long math class. At lunch I was sitting with Louise and my other best friend Pj. Pj was talking about his soulmate which he met yesterday who was a youtuber like us so at least   we had common interests.
"Why don't you invite him to my birthday party I would love to meet him"
"Ok I will, is it okay if his best friend phil comes too?"
"Yeah, sure the more the merrier!"

Phil's Pov

    It was my first day of uni and I was nervous. I had no idea what to expect sure I had been on campus a few days. But I spent the entire Time in my dorm on the internet instead of learning where my classes were so I was probably going to get lost. Luckily my first class was with my best friend Chris. I stayed up all night worrying and ended up getting no sleep now I was extremely tired. I had to get up at 7:30 in the morning for my first class speech. I didn't like public speaking so I already knew this wasn't going to be a fun class. I was running across campus unceremoniously because I was running late and class was about to begin. I definitely did not want to be late on my first day. I walked in and let out a sigh of relief in between pants from all the exercise I had just done. I went to go sit by Chris saying a quick hi as he sat down because as soon as I sat down the teacher walked in. After an insanely boring class my best friend Chris and I were walking and then Chris suddenly said "I found my soulmate yesterday his name is Pj."
I smiled and said "I'm happy for you."
"Thanks!"
"So is this Pj guy good enough for you or do I have to threaten him not to hurt you"
Chris laughed and said "I think so he's nice he is in highschool loves video games as much as we do and is a youtuber like us his youtube name  is kickthepj"
Chris and I walked in to My dorm as I was saying "So he's a youtuber like us we'll I guess that means he's cool but I'm still going to threaten him not to hurt you."
"I wouldn't expect anything less"
They then played Mario kart for the rest of the day.

  One week later

       I woke up to my tattoo tingling. That must mean my soulmate just turned eighteen. I hoped he didn't try looking for me because I don't want to be found. I had sworn off soulmates as soon as I heard my parents fighting every night when I was a child. I was relieved when they divorced because that meant no more fighting. I lived with my mother because my dad said he didn't want custody. My mom was never home always working to get enough money for us to live but I think it was also a distraction. I was never going to end up like my parents. At that moment I decided I was going to start wearing a bracelet over my tattoo so no one would ever know. Then I realized I was supposed to go with Chris to some kid named Dan's birthday party to meet Chris's soulmate. I hurriedly started getting dressed and straightening my hair and as I walked out the door looked at my mirror and did my routine fringe check which was on point. Once reaching the address Chris had texted me. I knocked hoping Chris would answer but sadly my wish wasn't granted as a kid with gorgeous brown eyes and brow hair in a fringe much like mine but it pointed the opposite direction. He smiled and said "Hi, I'm Chris's friend"
"Oh you must be phil, I'm Dan."
"Nice to meet you. Is Chris here yet?"
"No, but he and pj should be here soon. They texted me earlier that they were on their way, would you like to come in?"
Dan and I walked in the house only for me to realize I was the first one there. My face turned red. I was going to have to make awkward conversation with this beautiful stranger in the meanwhile until someone showed up. I said "So are you excited to meet your soulmate?"
Dan's eyes lit up at the mention of his soulmate "Yeah I can't wait, have you found your soulmate yet?"
I looked around awkwardly before replying "No, I haven't really been looking." Just then Chris and pj come bounding in through the door singing happy birthday. As soon as Chris's eyes met mine he yelled "PHIL!!" and ran towards me dragging pj along with him.
"This is my soulmate pj pj phil phil pj"
"Hi nice to meet you pj I hear your a youtuber as well by the way if you hurt Chris I will hurt you I have thought of many inventive ways to hide a body."
Pj looked slightly scared but also not. I was too innocent looking to ever be scary. Pj then asked dan "Hey why don't you show us you soulmate tattoo"

So this is the first chapter I hope you like it please comment. I love feedback and constructive criticism. This is my  first fan fiction so it may not be that good but I'm trying it anyways.😃😃😃
