Chapter 3

          Phil's Pov

   I was texting Dan about this weird dude. That came up to me and offered him candy the other day.

D: You must like attract weird people or something
P: I do I don't know why
D: It's because you're weird too Lol
P: I am do you want to hang out today
I'm not sure why but I can't get dan out of my head it probably has something to do with us being soulmates. I'm still sure I'm never going to have a soulmate because I'm not going to get hurt. just then there was a knock at the door. I opened it and there was Dan.
"You said you wanted to hang out so here I am"
"So do you want to come in and play video games"
"Sure"
Dan and I sat down and started playing Mario kart in which dan beat me all but once. They were laughing and then I looked over and Dan had fallen asleep. He looked so cute while sleeping I would so date him if he wasn't my soulmate. I had to keep reminding myself he is my soulmate we can never be together. I  picked Dan up and laid him down on the bed. I then got out my phone and to my surprise it was one in the morning but it was a Saturday so neither of us had to get up the next morning. I laid down next to Dan and went to sleep trying to ignore the fact that my soulmate was sleeping next to me. The next day when I woke up me and Dan were cuddling I was surprised and ended up pushing Dan off the bed.
"What the fuck dude" Dan yelled as he woke up.
"Sorry I was surprised and it's time to get up its 11:00 am"
"Shit my mom is going to be so mad"
"Do you want to go get some breakfast to put off going home and getting yelled at"
"I guess"

Dan's POV

We were playing video games and I couldn't help but stare at Phil in the corner of my eye. He was just so cute but I can't be anything more than friends with him until he says we can be more. I hope he changes his mind soon. Miraculously I won Mario kart even though I was staring at phil the whole time. I wonder if he has the same thoughts I do, he is still my soulmate. I closed my eyes falling asleep when I felt someone pick me up. I fought so hard to keep the blush off my cheeks as I knew it was phil. Suddenly I'm on a bed and Phil's beside me. I wonder how easy it would be to cuddle him if he's asleep. I waited and it only took him a few minutes to fall asleep. Once I was sure he had fallen asleep I initiated operation cuddle my soulmate. He surprisingly didn't wake up I then drifted off in to sleep land. Then I was abruptly awoken by the harsh reality of gravity after being pushed off the bed I immediately yell "what the fuck dude." In which he replied with "sorry I was surprised and it time to get up it's 11:00am."
"Shit, my mom is going to be so mad."
"Do you want get some breakfast to put off going home and getting yelled at?"
"I geuss"
We then looked up a recipe for Delia smith pancakes. After making the batter we had a competition for who could flip the most pancakes in the air. I won because I only dropped one and Phil dropped two. After eating the delicious Delia smith pancakes. It was time for me to return home and I was dreading it. I knew my mom would be very mad at me for not telling her I wasn't going to be home.
"I guess this is goodbye" I said after walking to the door. We stared into each other's eyes until Phil shook his head and said "yeah I guess it is well see you later" I turned and left still not ready to face my mom. On the way home I kept thinking about that one stare had that been an almost kiss. Was he finally warming up to the idea of being soulmates. My mind kept racing through possible ideas. When I finally returned home I opened the door and my mom ran and hugged me.
"DANIEL JAMES HOWELL HOW DARE YOU STAY OUT ALL NIGHT WITHOUT EVEN A TEXT TELLING ME WHERE YOU WERE I WAS SO WORRIED" my mom yelled at me.
"Im sorry mom I fell asleep while gaming at Phil's house" dan calmly responded.
"It's okay just don't make me worry like that again but you're still grounded for two weeks without your phone" she said while still hugging dan.

Two weeks later
Phil's POV
Dan hasn't texted me in two weeks and all I can think about is how I miss him. His dimple cheeks and his adorable smile but I can't date him because he is my soulmate and it will end  badly. I'm walking to his house right now to visit him. As soon as I knock on the door it whips open and I see dan. He instantly smiles and says "I was just about to text you to see if we could hang out today I've been grounded for the last few weeks"
"So that's why you never texted me back I was curious about that"
"Do you want to come inside we can go up to my room and play video games"
"Sure"
They headed upstairs and dan turned on the Wii getting ready to play some more Mario kart.
"This time I'm going to beat you" Phil said enthusiastically.
"No your not" dan replied.
Then suddenly right in middle of the second lap dan's mom opens the door and says "keep the door open it's the rule." Dan obviously embarrassed says "okay mom."
After dans fifth time beating me I finally get fed up and I tackle dan out of frustration. I end up on top straddling him. Without thinking I lean down to kiss him. I love the feeling of his warm lips on mine until I realize what I'm doing I'm kissing my soulmate. I immediately pull away instantly missing the feeling and get up. Dan just looks shocked and happy.
