Chapter 2

Dan's Pov
~~~~~~~Earlier that same morning~~~~~~~

     As soon as I woke up I felt a sharp pain in my hand. I looked down and my soulmate tattoo was there. It was cat whiskers? Well it looks cute I guess. I can't wait to show Pj and Louise. I then went down the stairs to the kitchen practically skipping. My mother greeted me "Good morning bear what's your tattoo." I showed her my tattoo on my arm.
"Oh cat whiskers how cute"
"Yah I just can't wait to find my soulmate, well I guess I should go get dressed" I said as I got up from the table I had been eating breakfast at. After I got dressed, I scrolled through tumblr till the door bell rung. I then looked at the clock and noticed it was time for my party. I opened the door to see a handsome black haired boy as pale as snow with a fringe and piercing blue greenish yellowish eyes.
He said "Hi I'm Chris's friend"
"Oh you must be Phil" I said after remembering Pj saying something about his soulmate's best friend Phil coming.
"Nice to meet you, is Chris here yet?" he replied politely.
"No but He and Pj texted me earlier saying they were on there way, would you like to come in" I asked since Phil was standing awkwardly on the door step.
We then went and sat down on the couch.
"So are you excited to meet your soulmate"
My eyes lit up at the idea."Yeah, I can't wait, have you found your soulmate yet?"
"No I haven't really been looking." Just then Chris and Pj came bounding in through the door singing the happy birthday song. As soon as Chris saw Phil he ran to him yelling "PHILLL!!!" While dragging Pj along he then said "This is my soulmate Pj Pj Phil, Phil Pj."
"Hi nice to meet you pj I hear your a youtuber as well by the way if you hurt Chris I will hurt you. I have thought of many inventive ways to hide a body."
Pj looked kind of scared but on the other hand not so much, Phil was too sweet and innocent looking to ever be scary. Then Pj asked me "Hey why don't you show us your soulmate tattoo."
I lifted my arm up and heard Pj and Chris gasp.

Chris's Pov

As soon as I saw the tattoo I recognized it that was the same tattoo as phil and according Phil's gasp he realized this too.
Dan looked around confused by the gasps.

Phil's Pov

As soon as I saw the tattoo I knew dan was my soulmate. The one person I never wanted to find. I was shocked and tried to think of a semi plausible excuse to leave. Then a girl ran in with blonde hair dyed pink at the tips. She ran in and saw dans tattoo and said "cat whiskers how cute"
I then said "um my mum just texted me and said it was an emergency, so I have to go." Chris looked at me skeptically. I hurriedly said bye to Chris and happy birthday to dan and left to go think about my new found soulmate. After laying in my bed for a hour I decided the best decision would be to avoid him. I felt bad because dan had wanted a soulmate but I just couldn't be the soulmate he wanted.

Dan's Pov

After phil left with what he thinks was a good excuse. I started thinking did, Phil not like me or something and for some reason I was hurt by this thought. Then Chris said "I can't believe it I just can't."
"You can't believe what" I asked.
"Your Phil's soulmate, the one he never wanted!"
"What, Phil's my soulmate?!"
" yeah that's the same tattoo as he has"
"So my soulmate doesn't want me, that means I'm going to have to make him want me!"
Chris laughed and said "I now know why your his soulmate you won't give up on him"

A week later I had been trying to contact Phil with no luck. Phil was definitely avoiding me so I called up Chris and asked for Phil's address and I was now on my way to Phil's house to give him a piece of my mind. I knocked on Phil's door and as soon as it opened and Phil realized who it was he tried closing the door. But I put my foot in the door before he could close it. I was not going to let my soulmate get away from me that easily. I pushed the door open and look at phil and said "We need to talk wether you like it or not"
Phil sighed "No, we don't I don't want a soulmate it just ends in pain."
"Well why don't we just be friends instead!"
Phil hesitated but replied with "Yeah, I could do that."
I smiled at the progress I made in my relationship with my soulmate.

Phil's Pov

     I was thinking about Dan and how cute he was. I then was interrupted by a knock on my door and got up and walked to the door and went to open it. I then realized it was dan the one person I wanted to avoid. I quickly shut the door. Dan's foot was caught in the door preventing it from closing. Dan then pushed the door open and said "we need to talk wether you like it or not"
I replied "No I don't want a soulmate it just ends in pain"
"We'll why don't we just be friends instead"
I thought about it for a second, I knew I wouldn't be able to avoid dan like I hoped. Why did Chris tell him ugh. I said "yeah I could do that" because I was constantly thinking about him and Dan wouldn't let me avoid him. I said "do you want to come in and play video games with me"
Dan smiled and replied "sure do you have Mario kart"
"Yeah I love that game best of three"
Two games later both which dan had won I asked because I'm a sore loser "all or nothing"
Dan sounded pretty confident when he replied "sure I will just win again"
It was a close game but at the last second dan got hit by a blue shell letting me win. Dan then said "I definitely should not of agreed to all or nothing"
"Well I still won so take that!"
Dan and phil just laughed and played Mario kart into the night till Dan said "omg it's midnight I have school tomorrow my mom is going to be so mad at me"
Dan started rushing out the door saying a quick bye to me. And at that moment I realized this soulmate thing was a lot harder to ignore then I thought.
