This is, without a doubt, one of the most fun games on the GameBoy Advance I have ever played. It's challenging, good in length, and very in depth without being to complicated. However, I would only give this game an 8/10.
The game itself is amazing, with beautiful graphics, lovely music, and enjoyable gameplay. However, I feel like there could probably be more variety, like the remake done on the DS. You can only play as one character, that being Yoshi and Baby Mario, unlike the newer ones in which you can play with Baby Peach, Baby DK, Baby Bowser, and Baby Wario. The upside is there are special power-ups, such as the Fire-Melon, Ice-Melon, Super Baby, and more, whereas in Yoshi's Island DS, there are no power ups whatsoever.
The story is the same as almost every other Yoshi's Island since-- Kamek, a magikoopa working for Bowser, kidnaps Baby Luigi. It's left to the Yoshi's to bring Baby Mario back together with his brother. It's a simple concept, however do to the shear number of Yoshi games, I personally feel like it's sort of overused. If there were different points in the different games, like there is in Yoshi's Wooly World, it could be a bit better of a plot line.
All problems aside, I still find great joy in playing this game. It was one of my first ever games I got for my GameBoy Advanced SP, and I still play it alot. That about raps it up for my second review. I hope you all enjoyed.
