SSBB has a very special place in my heart. This game was, really, the first introduction to Nintendo I ever had. It is an amazing game, with a variety of characters and game modes, and a great story mode. I have would give this game, in all honesty, a 10/10.
With a variety of modes, from Brawl and Adventure to Target Smash and Classic, this game will always have something for you to do. There are a variety of trophies and stickers to collect, which can be obtained in Adventure mode or by completing challenges, and stickers even provide boosts for characters in Adventure mode. Nintendo included many of their most popular characters, and even some 3rd party characters. However, the main thing that sets this game apart from the other ones is the inclusion of Adventure Mode, called The Subspace Emissary.
The Subspace Emissary follows the characters as they try and stop the menace of Subspace from taking over the world. As you play, new characters are introduced in separate groups, that eventually get together. There are multiple original enemies, as well as a few familiar faces, such as Goombas and Koopa Troopas. Throughout the game, you fight many bosses, some new, and some from other games like Ridley and Porky. Whilst the game progresses, you can add stickers to the characters, which can provide many useful bonuses, such as increasing your specials (whether indirect or direct, there's stickers for either) damage, upping your launch resistance, or even allowing you to start with an item. Over time it gets more and more difficult, which gives a sense of challenge to it. And with epic cutscenes, there really isn't anything to complain about.
I know my rating might seem biased, but I assure you, it's not entirely. The collectible trophies and stickers provide an extra challenge and reason to go back through Adventure Mode, as some trophies can only be obtained by using a trophy stand on enemies. And in Classic Mode and All-Star mode, by completing them with different characters you can get trophies of not only those characters, but the character's final smash, which is a massive attack usable once you obtain a smash ball. You can also create your own stages, which allows for an extra bit of fun for people who like to have the ability to change things.
So yes, I would beyond a doubt give Super Smash Bros Brawl a solid 10/10. I definitely recommend, if you like Nintendo, or just like that style of game, to try out SSB:B.
Note: I'm probably soon going to do a review for Super Mario Odyssey. Not next, but soon.
