Chapter 5 (EDITING)

"Adrian! Adrian, wait up!"

Adrian turned to see William and Seth running towards him. "What now" Adrian said impatiently. He was on his way to meet Artemis, and he didn't want to waste time and be late.

"Where are you going? No, more like, where have you been going to for the past month?" William demanded. "We haven't seen you in a while, you know."

Adrian sighed, running one hand through his hair. "I'm just busy-"

"Busy doing what?" Seth interrupted. "Every time I manage to catch up with you, you always say you're busy."

Adrian gritted his teeth. "It's none of you business. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have an appointment to go to." With that he brushed past the other two guardians.

"Did you catch that?" William turned to Seth. "He had an appointment. That can only mean that he's meeting somebody that he doesn't want anybody to know about."

Seth nodded. "Let's go."

WIlliam raised his eyebrows at him. "Go where?"

Seth grinned. "We have to go follow him! We can't miss this perfect opportunity!"

William just shook his head in disagreement. "Don't you think we're invading in his private matters?"

Seth just laughed. "William, Adrian is always private! I want to see what he's hiding just for once. Even if you're not coming, I'm still going."

William pondered for moment and finally sighed, giving into the temptation. "Fine, I'm going. But I'm only going to watch out for you. Whose gonna save you if Adrian catches you and tries to kabob you with his scythe?"

"Sure, whatever you say."

"Sorry, I'm late." Adrian dismounted his horse and gave Artemis a quick peck on the lips. "Again."

"Aren't you always late?" Artemis teased. "I can't wait all day you know, I'm a busy girl with a busy schedule." Artemis had waited about thirty minutes for him by the lake in their secret meadow.

"And what activities might your "busy" schedule include in doing?" Adrian hooked his arms around her waist, tugging her forward.

"Hmm..." She pretended to ponder for a moment. "Well... I do need to meet all those gentlemen in the village, asking for my hand in marriage with them.... And I need to meet their mothers of course! I mean how am I ever going to plan a wedding all alo-" She broke off with a shriek as Adrian lifted her up into the air and twirled her around with him a bit.

"You're mine." He growled, kissing her hard on the lips. "No one can have you except me." Artemis just smiled and kissed him back.

"You know...." Adrian started to say as he laid down on the cool grass with Artemis beside him a few moments later. "This is the first time that I've ever felt so....happy, peaceful, and......"

"And what?" Artemis whispered.

Adrian's throat tightened. "In love" He said hoarsely.

Artemis gasped slightly. "Adrian, but-that's not-you're not-" She stuttered.

"I love you." Adrian insisted. "I love you. I love you." He said in between kisses. "Tell me that you love me too."

"I love you, so much." She gasped in between his kisses. "More than you can imagine, but-"

"Shh" He murmured. "Don't say another word." With that he continued to kiss her more deeply and more passionately.

Meanwhile.......

Seth eyes grew bigger. "Oh my..... Adrian..." He said as he saw the passionate couple kissing each other from behind the bushes.

"Who would have thought this would happen?" William said amusingly, forgetting the fact that he was invading Adrian's privacy.

"Exactly. Who knew? No one." Seth grinned like a fool. "This is just precious. Mysterious, cold, and private Adrian has found love and is keeping a secret mistress!" He hooted.

"Shhh!" William shushed him. "You don't want to alarm them of our presence and get caught do you?" William turned back to the girl Adrian was with.

She was a beauty, no doubt of Adrian's style. Long, raven black hair.... A tall, slim, yet curvy figure......

"Seth." William nudged him. "Look at the girl, who would have known that Adrian had a...lover?"

"Well, she's actually very beautiful-"

"That's not the point.... Nevermind" William shook his head. "Let's go back."

"Back? No way, the show just started!" Seth moved around to make himself more comfortable.

William kicked him and dragged him back to their horses. "Let's leave them alone, and don't you dare mention anything to Adrian yet!" He warned him.

"Fine." Seth pouted. "Oh pooh. So much for the fun."

With one more final look at the couple, William hitched himself back onto his stallion and rode away.

William couldnt help but leave with a strange feeling that he never felt before.

"As a Guardian of the Moon, do you have any powers? Skills? Anything?" Artemis asked Adrian suddenly.

"Actually, I do."

"You do? Like what?"

Adrian smiled. "The moon and the darkness"

Finally updated! Today, I finally finished finals~ yay! but I checked online to see my scores......... and lets just say that I didn't get the best scores.. but not the worst.......
