"Well, despite getting rained on, I had a lot of fun." "I did too Jesse." Jesse's mom Ashley walked into the brightly lit dining room. "I thought I heard Kaycee Scott! How have you been since the last time we talked sweetie?" I've been good. Better now that Jesse's home." "You and me both. So how was your McDonald's and chick flicks day?" "We would have watched the movie, but the TV stopped working." Jesse answered. "So instead, we went outside and played mini-golf. And I finally won!" Kaycee said excitedly. "Only because I let you win Scott." Jesse teased. "Whatever helps you sleep at night Hale." Jesse's mom laughed. "I missed the sibling banter between you two." Kaycee smiled. "I'm glad things are finally getting back to normal around here. But I should probably head home considering we have our first day of senior year tomorrow, and we have to be up early." Jesse grabbed his keys off the counter. "Mom, I'm going to drop Kaycee off." "Okay." Jesse looked back, and saw his mom smiling her matchmaker smile.
