Kaycee couldn't believe her best friend was back in town. She had missed him so much while he was away. But they had their end of summer tradition planned, which consisted of stuffing their faces with food and watching chick flicks. And not that Jesse would EVER admit it, but he actually liked chick flicks. He was pacing back and forth on Kaycee's front porch. He saw her come bounding down the stairs and smiled. His best friend still had the energy of a toddler, and she was a senior in high school. "Are you ready for our annual McDonald's and chick flicks day?" Jesse asked. "Always." The two made their way to Jesse's old beat up pickup. "After you m'lady," Jesse said, opening Kaycee's door and bowing. "Why thank you kind sir." Kaycee said, laughing. Jesse ran over to the front seat, buckled his seat belt, and started the engine. Music erupted from the speakers. Kaycee listened closely, trying to pinpoint exactly what genre of music Jesse was listening to today. "Disrespect that's all that you do to me, so messed up the way that you're treating me Brace yourself there's something I want you to know, you should know Replaceable is one way of saying it, you made your bed now you can lay in it...." "I haven't heard this song in forever! I can't believe you remembered that this was my favorite song." Jesse smiled. "I've remembered everything you've ever told me." Kaycee looked at him. "Most people don't care enough to remember things I've told them. So why do you?" "You're important to me Kaycee. You always have been. And you always will be."
