*Josh's P.O.V.*

I throw on my hood over my snapback and plug my headphones in as it started to pour down rain. It soaks through my sweatshirt but I continue walking, rather than stoop under the awnings like other people. I hate the rain, or any bad weather, really. But today I don't care. I stopped myself from crying, even though I wanted to badly. Tyler never really yelled at me but when he did, it surely wasn't like that. Ever since this morning he's been acting so weird!

I shake my head and try to cast Tyler out of my mind, tapping instead on my thigh to the beat of the drum coming from my music. I turned it up all the way so I could feel the vibrations through my ears and drown out the terrible sound of the rain.

Tyler and I usually play together. With me on the drums and him singing, either playing his uke, or piano.

Stop thinking about him, Josh.

I can't help it though! Tyler is my world, my best friend! I can't just cast him out of my thoughts like that! It doesn't work that way.

He told you to go hang out with Hayley, anyway. Maybe he doesn't want you anymore Jishwa.

Tyler wouldn't do that to me. Would he? No. I'm sure of that.

Are you positive?

I sigh and turn up the music even louder, not caring if my eardrums bleed. Drown my thoughts. Drown my thoughts.

I don't have these thoughts often. So why today? Maybe its the weather.

Whatever.

I approach the café where I work and push the door open. I shiver from the sudden transition from cold to extremely warm but ignore it and just shrug off my sweater.

"Your late. Again. And soaking wet." I hear a very high-pitched annoying voice of my boss, Debby. It's true. I was late for the 4th time this week, and the 6th time this month, all counting today. I just shrugged my shoulders and put my jacket back on. It was cold, quite the contradiction to the warmth of the café.

I don't feel like working right now. I can't get Tyler off of my mind, and even so, I wouldn't be able to focus on my job anyway. I shrug.

"I quit." I say, and simply walk out of the door.

"I can't hear youuuuuuu!"

"Have you ever had-"

click.

I sigh and roll my eyes. I'm sitting on the couch, surfing through the TV channels. Of course, nothing good is on. At all. Sofia the First isn't bad, I must admit but I really don't feel like listening to a little kid sing and try to get her necklace stolen, obliviously.

I glance over at the door and see the knob turning. My eyes widen and I jump up from my seat on the couch, trying to make it to the room as soon as possible. Unfortunately, I trip over the carpet and fall face-first on the wood floor as the door swings open. I bite my lip and fight back a groan.

"Josh? What are you doing on the floor?" Tyler's voice rings out and I hear his footsteps pad closer. He took his shoes off already.

"Licking it." I say, rolling my eyes even though he can't see me.
