in this universe there are fundamental shapes
spheres, hexagons, squares
you
a diamond in all regards of the word with high cheekbones and a splattering of freckles like paint and hair that reflects light
people look at you and see the shimmer, the light that resides in you and the way that you fill a room with your presence
in a way, you're approachable
a genuine smile in a world full of masks
in a way, you're powerful
a single glance from you can decide someone's fate and your jewel eyes hold nothing back
you laugh quickly and love deeply
you learn relentlessly and live lightly
I'm so thankful to be able to bask in your diamond light each day
see the iridescence that surrounds you
you walk on eggshells though you are the toughest substance on earth
seemingly you are a living juxtaposition
the sun envies your warmth and your beauty
