I stood there in front of the closet, thinking about what I really wanted to do. While this wasn't going to be my first Christmas in Tokyo, this was going to be the first Christmas that Yamoto and I were a real couple. If I remembered correctly, I didn't think that Yamoto even decorated for Christmas last year and we just went to Long Island to celebrate. But since we were a real couple, a couple that was going to be married soon, I wanted to decorate the apartment that I was more than likely going to spend the rest of my life in. Smiling, I began to look through the closet to see if I could find any of my Christmas boxes.

"I know what you're looking for and I can tell you that they're not there," a voice from behind me said, making me jump out of my skin.

Spinning around, I saw Yamato looking at me with a small smirk. I could tell that he enjoyed the fact that he had scared me.

"Did you really have to do that?!" I asked, trying to slow my racing heart, "and how do you know what I'm looking for?"

"In order: yes, of course I had to; yes because I know it's getting close to Christmas and that you want to decorate. I didn't bring those boxes over when you moved in, those are in the storage until,"

"Why are they there?"

"We don't really have a lot of storage here and I haven't decorated for Christmas in years,"

"Why not?"

"It was something my mother and I used to do together,"

I looked away from him. Of course he would stop decorating after his mother passed away; putting up the decorations would have been a constant reminder of her and it would've just been too painful to do. Considering this, I knew that it wouldn't have been right to put things up without his permission.

"I don't mind if there are decorations or not," he smiled at me, holding onto my arms, "but if it makes you happy I guess I'm ok with it,"

"That would make me really happy," I returned the smile, "that way we could decorate together,"

He looked at me for a moment before he leaned down and kissed me. It started out slow and sweet, but then it felt like a switch on the inside of me flipped and soon I had my fingers twisted in his hair and my breathing had gone ragged. Easing him backwards, I pushed him onto the bed and crawled over him, joining our mouths together once I was on top. While I kissed him, I began to work the buttons on his shirt open until his hands stopped mine.

"Wait," he said, pulling away as he panted.

"What is it?" I asked, looking into his eyes.

"As much as I'm totally loving this, what's gotten into you?"

"What do you mean? Should a wife not want to make love to her husband?"

"No that's fine, I mean technically I'm not your husband yet, it's just that you're not usually the one to initiate all this and be this.... Well bold,"

He was right. Whenever we were intimate he was always the lead while I followed. This time around however it just seemed like I had an undeniable urge to be with him that I had never felt before.

"I guess I just wanted to spice things up," I said, starting to work on his buttons again, "why, do you want me to stop?"

He looked at me for a moment, then crushed him lips against mine as he flipped the two of us over so he was on top.

After that things were a scarlet blur until I found myself staring up at the ceiling with a panting Yamato by my side.

"I don't know what that was," he said, looking over at me, "but it would be great if that came around more often,"

Laughing, I rolled onto my side to look at him. It was true I didn't know where that feeling came from but I guess that was just something that happens when you get married, or in our case close enough to it. The longer I did lay there the more I also wanted to take a shower to cool myself off. When I stood up and reached for my robe, I felt a slight tug on the back and looked back to see Yamato looking at me.

"Where're you going?"

"To take a shower. I need to cool myself off,"

"Here, I'll come with you," he threw the covers off of himself and began to walk out of the room, not even bothering to cover himself up.

"Are we becoming a nudist?"

"No, I just don't see the point of covering up when I'm just going to get re naked anyway. Besides, it's not like you haven't seen me before,"

"Oh no, my poor virgin eyes!" I joked, covering my eyes as I laughed.

"Please, there was nothing virgin about what you just did," he teased.

"Hey!"

"I mean that in the best way possible,"

"Of course you do," I reached over, punching him playfully on the arm.
