We were only driving a few minutes before Yamato pulled into a public parking area and turned off the car. As he climbed out of the car and made his way over to my side to open my door, I really began to think that he was crazy. There wasn't really anything close to us which meant that we were going to be walking and considering what I was wearing I was pretty much going to freeze to death.

"Yamato, what are we doing?" I asked as he dragged me through the snow to the park beside Tokyo Tower.

"Hold on, you'll see," he was smiling now and I could only shake my head at him.

When we were finally in the park, he put his hands on my shoulders as me positioned me so I was looking straight at the tower. Standing off to the side, he was looking down at his watch and then looking up at the tower as if he were waiting for something. Just as I was about to ask what we were waiting for, the lights in the tower went off, but only for just a moment. When they came back on the light pattern on it made it look like a giant Christmas tree and the park around it was also lit up with hundreds of Christmas lights. I looked around in awe as Yamato just stared at me with a small smile on his face.

"Did you do all this...?" I finally asked.

"I wish I were that good, but no. The city does this every year but this is the only time they switch it from the regular lights all day to the Christmas tree lights,"

"Why is that?"

Pulling back his sleeve, he showed me his watch which read twelve fifteen; Christmas Day. Smiling, I leaned up and kissed his lightly on the lips as I pulled his present from my coat pocket.

"Does this mean I can give you my gift now?"

"Have you had this the entire time?" he smiled, his face slightly flushed from the surprise kiss, as he took the box from me. Tearing into the paper, he lifted the lip and his smiled widened as he looked down at the gloves, "These are great! They're just what I needed!"

"That's what I figured," I moved a stray hair out of my face as he pulled the gloves on, "I know you generally give leather as the third year anniversary gift, but I figured you needed them now,"

"They're perfect," he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer to him as he leaned down to give me another kiss. This one was a bit more forceful than the one that I gave him and before long I had to pull away so I could catch my breath.

He laughed as he ruffled my hair, sending the snow that had begun to build up on it flying. Taking my hand, he pulled me back to the car and began driving down the road again. As we drove, I felt myself grow more tired by the minute and I felt Yamato hold my hand as he drove.

"You've had a very eventful day," he said, brushing his thumb over my knuckles, "once we get home we'll get some sleep,"

"But it's Christmas," I said groggily.

"It'll still be Christmas in the morning," he chuckled, "you have to rest. Your parents are coming in the morning remember?"

He was right. They were going to come up to Tokyo and meet everyone; my family, my entire family, was going to be whole and it made my heart swell as I drifted off to sleep.

I could feel the sensation of someone shaking me awake, but rolled over and buried myself deeper into the covers. I was so tired and all I wanted to was sleep. Before I could get back into the groove of sleep I had been in before, someone had ripped the sheets off of me and I felt the sharp sting of the cold air hit my skin. Bolting up right, I saw a laughing Yamato standing to the side of the bed.
