I look up at the troll in fear.

'Well ain't you a purty li'l one.'

I stare up at him defiantly.

'No response? Hay?  Cat got your tongue?'

I continue to stare at him.

'Hmp,' he grunts, 'look here. I ain't takin' no cheek fr'm you missie.'

'Fine.' I say, 'I am certainly not going to be cheeked by you either. '

He stared at me in mock amazement.

'She can talk!' he exclaimed.

I put my hand in the middle of his chest and push him hard. I laugh when he falls over.

'I suggest you stop talking.' I say.

He gets up and grabs a sack on the ground. This was the first time I had noticed it, but I already knew what was in it. Gomber.

'Give me the sack.' was all I said.

'Oh this!?' the troll retorted, holding it in the air.

'Yes that, you disgraceful idiot! I don't want anything else of yours!'

He reaches out his hand and grabs my hair. I scream in fury as my hair is yanked toward him.

'I want something of yours!' he says.  I feel a strong tingling in my hands.

'LET GO OF MY HAIR YOU IDIOT!' I scream.

He tries to drag me into the sack but I slap his face hard. He let's go of me in surprise. I raise my jeweled sword and point it at his chest. I pause.  What the hell?! Where did the sword come from?

He notices my hesitation and makes a lung at me. I swing the sword and forget about everything except killing this troll. I aim the sword at his heart and charge.

It all happens to fast. The troll sees the pattern on the sword and backs away. He grips the sack tighter. I an still running. He turns and starts to run away. He only gets a few metres the trips, dropping the sack. He jumps up and grabs the sack before running again.

'OH NO YOU DON'T!' I yell.

He whimpers and throws the sack on the ground. I take aim and throw the sword at him. I watch as it spins through the air and lodges itself in the centre of his back.

He keels over onto his front. I run over and check he is dead. I grab the sack and pull Gomber out.

'Are you okay?' I ask.

He moans and leans against my side.

I helped him up and we went inside. Mum was in the kitchen with a rolling pin poised ready to strike the troll if it came in. She nearly took my head off when I walked in. Then she saw Gomber.

'Oh my gosh!' she exclaimed, 'Gomber!' Then turning to me she said, 'Did the troll get him?'

I nodded. 'Had him in a sack ready to take him away.'

'Where's the troll?'

'Dead. I killed it.'

She looked at me like I was a saint.

'How?' she said, narrowing her eyes.

'With a jeweled sword. What else?' I said jokingly.

'What colour jewels?' she queried.

'Green.'

She looked at me in amazement.

'Green? Are you sure?'

'Yeah. ' I reply.

Her jaw dropped .

'Oh my gosh... '
