Chapter 17 - On the run!

I woke up the next morning in a infamilliar room with Gomber in my face.

"What?!" I grumble, rolling over, "Go away!"

"No. Look at the news."

"Why?" I mumble.

"They um..."

"Yeah... keep going." suddenly I think I know what he is hinting at. I groan. "They didn't did they?"

"Do what?"

"Put my escape on tv?!"

"Yep they did. It's even worse than that though. They saw me too."

"Damn. Mannnnn..... I thought we had it."

A shrill voice speaks outside our door, "Room service!"

"Quick! Get under the bed!" Gomber growls as he hussles me over to the other side of the room.

The door starts to open.

"Can't you wait for me to get changed!"

He winks at me as I slide under the bed. I grin.

He opens the door to a very red faced maid.

"Ummm... ahh.." she stammers.

"Yes..." Gomber says.

"B-breakfast?"

" Yes please! What's the matter? You seem scared."

"No, no... Yes. Y-you were getting changed!"

He grimaces. "I'll have two eggs on toast and a bowl of cornflakes with sugar."

"Yes, any drinks?"

"Two hot chocolates with extra cocoa."

"Be here soon."

I notice the tv is still on.

"Stay under the bed for now. I'll turn off the tv incase they put us on  again."

I moan. "Why do I have to stay under the bed?"

"I kinda snuck you in last night."

"Ohhhh.... riiiighht. So no-one knows I am here?"

"Exactly that. I'm sorry, you're not allowed to be seen." The door is pushed open and the maid walks back in with the food Gomber ordered.

"Who were you talking to?" she asks him.

"Oh, no one in particular." He waves his phone at her.

"Oh. I thought I heard someone replying."

"Oh my gosh! What is the point of talking to someone if they aren't going to reply?! Why are you so nosy! It is my business who I want to talk to on my phone and you wouldn't hear about it even if I was talking to your boss telling them that you are rude and don't wait for your customers to get changed before you go and BARGE ON IN INTO THEIR ROOMS! I am leaving! This is terrible service! Give me that hot chocolate! I'm LEAVING! When I get home i'm going to write a complaint letter to your BOSS! I'm appalled with the service here and i will tell all my friends to NEVER EVER come here! Now get out of my room! I'm going to pack."

"Oh my goodness! I am so sorry! I didn't know you were getting changed until you told me!"

"What EVER!"

"I'll do anything sir! I'm so sorry! I'll even upgrade you to a double bed with an ensuite! You can have breakfast for free everyday!" She bursts out crying. I feel kind of sorry for her. Gomber was giving her a bit of a hard time.

"No. Don't bother. I was only going to stay one night anyway. I'll just never stay again."

She slowly turns and walks out of the room. Gomber closes the door and tells me to get out from under the bed and climb out the window. He gives me a jersey and tells me to hang around the playground down the road pretending to be a kid on it.

"Don't let anyone see your face." he advised me. Yeah right! the jersey is too small. Oh well. I climb out the window and gracefully fall into a rose bush. I then walk down the road trying to not draw too much attention to myself. As I walk I pick off the prickles and the petals. This has NOT been a good day for me.

Gomber comes and meets me in a few minutes looking flustered.

"What happened?"

"That same darn maid was trying to convince me to stay!" 

"LOL!"

"NO! Not LOL! BOO! Just BOO! It sucks! she was right in my face trying to get me to stay! I have feeling we need to watch out for her."

"Ok, i'm sorry."

"Hmph." We start walking toward the opposite side of the playground to the the trees there. When we get there Gomber says we should walk untilwe get away from civilisation to stop.

ok.Soo this is really(short 724 words, thats what word counter says it is) I'll try to make the updates longer and sooner. Soo hows the story going? I need some ideas because I think it is going too slowly and it is already chapter 17 and nothing has happened except she has been arrested and has escaped. I need something exciting to put in it that will make up the big part of the story. I want you (only if you want to of course) to write a chapter that is about 1000 words that I can put in at about chapter 20. I will shape the story around it then find somewhere to put it in.
