UNDERTALE.
Just LOOKING at that word makes you internally squeal.
There's no doubt that this is your favourite game of ALL TIME. You loved everything about it, the story, the characters, the music... The list goes on. You're a huge fan of this game-- actually no, you're not a fan. You're Undertale trash. Feel free to visit the trash can anytime! (get it? hehe)
However, you weren't so sure about the AUs. They just didn't feel... right to you. This was especially the case with Underswap. Sure, blueberry sans is cute and all, but why the heck is Papyrus portrayed as a smoker? Asgore just looks weird, and once you saw Undyne as the Royal Scientist, you can't be unseen. Basically, this AU made you feel really uneasy, and you knew that you're not a fan of it.
What you didn't know was that this opinion of yours will change reeally soon.
You woke up at 7AM from the annoying buzzing of your phone. "But I didn't even set up an alarm..." you thought to yourself, until you realise that its actually a friend of yours, who's also a huge undertale fan, spamming at you. Saying the same thing over and OVER again. "THEY'RE REAL! THE MONSTERS ARE REAL!!", they said. After seeing the message you IMMEDIATELY FREAKED OUT. "NO WAY! THEY'RE REAL!? UNDERTALE IS REAL!?!!?!?!" You were so excited! To see them in the flesh! Well, in the bones for the skeletons.
You sprinted to the living room and turned on the TV. You're face turned from disbelief to MORE DISBELIEF. It's true. They're real. They've broken the barrier in Mt. Ebott and arrived at the surface. But there's just one problem. They're... They're from UNDERSWAP!
You gasped as you see the characters walk down the street, with tons of news reporters and screaming fans around them. As the ambassador, Chara's at the front, making way for the monsters. You then see Papyrus with a protective arm around the adorable Sans, who was greeting the fans. Behind them was Alphys giving death stares to reporters with a panicking Undyne. Then there's Happstablook floating next to Napstaton, who was playing some music for the fans. Following them was Toriel awkwardly walking next to Asgore, and many other characters following behind them. From this scenario you could tell that Temmie stayed in the underground since you couldn't find him anywhere.
Even though you should be happy and excited, you felt heartbroken. You were REALLY hoping to see the original cast and potentially be friends with them. But now you're stuck with THIS cast, which makes you feel very bittersweet.
Oh well, at least the monsters are real, even though there's from another AU.
Soon, you knew that it would take quite a while to get used to this crazy dilemma.
