Mathew couldn't stop thinking about that girl yesterday. He couldn't believe he forgot to get her name. He didn't understand why people would pick on her.

"Will you pass the milk Mathew." his mother asked. "Mathew."

"Uh," Mathew stop thinking. "Oh, here you go mom."

"What's wrong with you Mathew? You never zone out." she looked concerned.

"I know." Mary piped in. "Its about that girl he was talking about yesterday. Matthew's in LOVE."

"Mary." Mathew groaned. "You are so getting whipped creamed." he started chasing her the with cool whip.

"Mary, Mathew. Enough. Your buses will arrive any minute."

"Yes, mom." the said unison. Mathew made sure Mary got on her bus, then waited for his. As he waited, Mathew saw the girl walking to school. He decide to go after her.

Levi was walking to school, like normal when Mathew came up to her.

"Mind if I join you?" he asked.

"Um. Sure." Levi was confused. 'Why does he want to be with me. He'll just be another target."

"I never got your name yesterday."

"Its Levi."

"Levi, I like it."

"Thanks." Levi was still confused. "Why did you help me yesterday?"

"What he was doing was wrong, I can't stand seeing pretty girls beat up." Mathew blushed. " I-I-I mean girls. Not that your not p-pretty, you are. Wait. I-I m-m-mean no. I mean. Oh, what am I saying."

Levi just looked at him and raised a single eyebrow, making Mathew a bit nervous.

"Ya. Plus it looked like you needed a friend."

"Its been a while since I've had a real friend." she looked down.

"Well, now you do." Mathew smiled.
