When the e-mail came in Fey Lord Canothalon saw the urgent indicator. He opened it and reviewed it. Once he had he leaned back in his chair before pulling up the supernatural regulations. He knew them by heart but it was always best to review existing regulations before anything else. Markolus carefully reviewed the regulations before he made the decision on how to deal with this. By the time he was done another urgent e-mail came in. When he looked at it he had to wonder if matings were going to be more common. It appeared now another new Ensign had found his mate.

What was even more interesting was the Ensign Masterson had mated with a very rare supernatural. He knew of the Senka Eden's though not a great deal. What he knew was the tended to show up in times of major changes. Other than that, not much was known since they rarely ever talked about what they really were. The request for additional information was greeted with a small chuckle. He would reply later.

After looking at the wet bar in his office he flexed his magic and a golden chalice of wine floated over. He took the cup from the air and took a sip of the wine. As he was slowly sipping on it he considered the ramifications. No matter what this was going to involve the Council. He carefully considered all sides of the issue before setting the chalice down. After another flexing of his powers a stack of velum appeared on his desk. He already had the inkwell and his official seal as the head of the Council. The inkwell was of a human creation. No matter how he shifted or tilted it the ink would remain right side up. Now dropping it to the floor was a different issue but that wasn't a problem. The silly thing had some sort of gimble design which balanced the inkwell in and upright position.

Before penning a series of missives, he had to smile. Humans had some uses, he no longer used a quill for such things. He had a Tibaldi Pen custom made for him. The cost had been great but it suited his station as the Lord of his kingdom and head of the Council. After carefully filling it he wiped the tip clean of excess ink. Before he actually started the missives, he took several minutes to work out what he wanted to say. For this he had to personally pen each and every missive since copies wouldn't work. Normal correspondence he could simply magic them into existence. This was an official document and therefore each had to be personally drafted.

He started working on the missives and as each was done he dusted the damp ink with a mixture of diamond dust, fine sand, and cabochon's. After dusting the missive, he carefully shook the excess sand off before setting it off to one side to dry. Once done he went onto the next. It did take several hours before he was finished but he didn't mind the time. Considering he was beyond old what was time? It was one of the amusing aspects of dealing with shorter lived people. They all seemed frenetic to get done as much as possible.

Before finalizing the missives, he stepped away to relax. It would ensure that they would be dry when he was done. After supping he went back to his desk and pulled out his seal and the magic wax used with it. Using magic to melt the wax he placed a blob of wax on the first missive and then pressed his seal against it. As the wax was cooling he twisted his magic around the wax and seal. There was a slight flare of power and the missive was complete. Nothing could change or modify it at this point. The seal showed his symbol though it almost leapt off the surface due to the magic in the seal.

Now that was done he folded them up and applied additional wax and his seal again. This time he didn't need the magic to do this. Once he had finished sealing the missives closed he called his magic up and sent them on their way. He had called for a mandatory meeting of the Council the next morning. This was not something which could wait. Now that he was done he stood and left his office and walked to his suite and greeted his lady. Tomorrow would come soon enough.
