Chapter 19 - Mom this is my mate Danal

Kyrill was relaxing on their bed with Nacy in his arms. His head was resting against the wall as he was holding on to her. It had been months since she had been hurt but he still had problems with what had happened. When what had happened had really hit he had almost broken down. He could have lost his mate. He had made a number of visits to the room for the supernatural before she had been released. After she had been released both had spent several evenings there. It had been several months and they still had to visit occasionally.

Both were trying to deal with what had almost happened and had spent time with the Captain's as well. Kyrill let a low rumble flow out of his chest, *I know I am still dealing with what almost happened Nacy. I know that Danal did something to save you even if she won't say anything about it. It still scares me badly to know I almost lost you.* He buried his face in her hair and inhaled her scent.

She pulled his arms closer around her and wanted to cry. Nacy could feel how what had happened impacted on him. Even as he would have lost her she would have lost him. The visits to the supernatural room had been helpful but they still had to deal with what had happened, *She did though what I doubt we will ever know. I would have lost you as well. Even if I knew eventually you would join me in the future I would have lost you. Love you too much damn it. My mate and how I love you.* She turned slightly and tucked part of her face into his chest.

Jace was relaxing with Danal even as Nacy and Kyrill were. He was holding Danal even as Kyrill was holding Nacy, *Thank you. Not totally sure what happened but I know you did something. It would have killed Kyrill to lose his mate.* He lightly nibbled on her neck before relaxing with her scent in his nose.

Danal was leaning back against her mate, *Something with world threads. Not totally sure. Baraf talked to me but I don't remember much he said. Good we saved her. Need her and mate. Not sure why but do. Love you.* She smiled as he nibbled on one of her ears.

*Good, take care of Pride and friends important to both of us. Time will tell and good. Love you as well.* He finally urged her away and stood and stretched, "Shower time I think. I need my fur washed. Don't know about you but it has been a few days since I changed." He shifted and as he walked away his tail was twitching.

She grumbled at him as he shifted and walked away. The tail twitch was pure amusement since she wanted to lightly bite it. Others she didn't need to bite their clothing nearly as much. Catching his tail and lightly biting it was something different. It gave each of them such a good feel for the other. When she entered the shower, she grasped his tail and grumbled in his ear again, *Darn mate. I will get you.*

He smiled though she couldn't see it even as the shower started. One or the two of the other Cadet's grumbled at them but by now it was a general grumble, "God I hate that you can be all snuggly but we can't. I hate you now darn it!" It was one of the females.

Danal snickered, "Wah, wait, what was it called? Oh, I will call a Wambulance for you." She was working some shampoo into his back as she was giving her rumbling purr. When several of the other Cadets grumbled as well they laughed.

Jace snickered as well though he was enjoying the attention of his mate. He returned the favor of working the shampoo into her hair and fur on her back. They didn't take a great deal of time but they did take a bit of extra time. He needed the contact with his mate at the moment. He was still dealing with the effects of being charged with disobeying orders.

The next morning Jace had reported back to the officer. He wasn't happy and it was obvious. Last night he had very carefully reviewed the supernatural regulations. For good measure, he had made a full report as well. Just to be a total shit head he had printed it out which would require a physical signature. Normally an electronic one would do but this was different. By forcing her to sign he was going to demand an official inquest into the charges. It was done with digital signatures but to Jace this was far more official.
