Mia's POV
~~~~~~~~~~
   "Bye." I wave my hand to Mother and Cassandra as I'm drifted away to my old home.
    They wave back. And that's the last glimpse I see from them before I'm guided by a security guard, telling me which gate it is that I should take. I nod my head thankfully and return my gaze down to the instruction papers clipped firmly in my grasp.
   I sit on the leather seat of this weird time-transporter that we only get to ride once in our lifetime. Dead lifetime. I shake the thought away.
   What's wrong with me? Huh? Snap out of it, Grandover.
   I wince as something hard falls on my leg.
   "Oops, sorry!" A girl with curly brown hair and grey eyes says.
   I look down and find her purse on my left foot. What the hell is in that purse? Loads? I bluntly roll my eyes at her.
   She offers me her hand, which I take hesitantly when she positions herself beside me. Well, looks like it would be a long ride.
   "Megan," she says. I nod.
   "Mia."
   Megan keeps talking about how exciting it is to return back to the place we all came from. She says that maybe there would be hot boys. I roll my eyes at that. She tells me that most of her list is consistent of elderly. Lucky she. At least she doesn't have to feel guilty taking their lives away, after all, she's helping them out of their misery. I just kept nodding along to her nonsense, though I would never tell her that. After an hour or so, she drifts to sleep and I'm left alone to stare at the paper of instructions in my hand.
    1) Avoid any type of interaction with any of your victims.
    2) Keep our world a secret, or die trying.
   3) Decieve.
   4) Show optimism in depressing cases.
   5) Come back if too hard or in case of any developing of feelings toward them.
   6) Get to know them, study them.
   7) Make them trust you then betray them.
   8) Be careful. Avoid recklessness at all costs.
  9) Never go to doctors unless your victim is one.
  10) Have faith and remember that it's all for the sake of humanity. For their own good.
   I've read the paper about a dozen times and checked my list just as much. I put on some music and plug my earpiece in my ear as I feel myself drifting to sleep.
   Make them trust you then betray them...
   Make them trust you then betray them...
    Make them trust you then betray them...
   "Mia, wake up. Wake up." I feel someone shake me up. I tilt my head and groan immediately. It's sore, I've positioned it wrongly. I rub the aching spot then look at the person beside me. Megan.
   "Uhm ... are you alright?" She asks. I nod. "Bad dreams?" I nod again and then mutter something along the lines of: I am pretty sure it's caused by nervousness as well.
   I plug out my earpiece and turn off the music on my phone. God, do I feel exhausted. My mother's teary eyes flashes behind my eyelids as she waves good bye to me. Unlike Cassandra, who was jumping up and down enthusiastically waiting for her turn as well.
    They announce that we are off to go to our destination and I hug Megan good bye. She promises that we'll meet again and I tell her that I hope so, too.
   We start spreading in different directions, each minding their own business.
    When I arrive in a foreign city, I start feeling anxiety gawking at me.
