Tom's POV

"Where is she?""Uhm ... France?" Cassandra stutters.
"No, Germany." I roll my eyes. "I'm the one asking here. Now, why won't you be a good girl and tell me where in God's name Mia is?"
She nods. "She's in France. I'm pretty sure she's there."
I raise a brow. "Are you trying to tell me that you don't know where your best friend is?"
"I do!" She huffs. "She's in France."
"C'mon. You can do better than that."
"I'm not lying."
I scoff. "You aren't?"
"No. You don't believe me, do you?" She rests her arms in from of her chest.
"Well, we can solve that issue in a matter of seconds. How about you get out of the doorway and I check quickly in this hotel room of yours. If I don't find her-"
"No!" She straightens, then appeals quietly. "I mean, no."
"Uh huh. I see." I take a step forward and push her softly from the doorway, making room for myself so that I can enter. I smirk, satisfied by its contents. "Your friend said you were in France."
Mia looks up from her phone and groans, rolling out of bed. "My God!" She tosses the device on her pillow."You never know when to stop, do you?"
"Nice to see you, too. Did you see the Effil Tower?" I decide to continue with the lie.
She narrows her eyes at me. "Fine. Two can play this game. Yes, I did see the Effil Tower."
"Uh huh. And where was that?"
She closes her eyes for a mere moment. "Paris!"
"Good. And when was that? Because, correct me if I'm wrong, I just kissed you three hours ago. And the last time I checked, it takes more that three hours to reach the borders of France, let alone Paris."
"And who said there aren't any time-travel machines?"
"Really?"
"Really."
Cassandra interferes in the conversation,"I am way too sorry to interrupt your date our whatever this is, but, Mia, can you get your boyfriend out of our hotel room?"
"My hotel room," Mia retorts. "Besides," she turns to me. " how did you know where do I live?"
"Thats another thing we need to talk about. But for the mean time ... Megan."
"Megan? Did she tell you that I kicked her out?"
My eyes widen in shock. "You kicked her out?"
"Yeah ..."
"Why, tho?"
"Except for the reason that she came here uninvited?" Her eyebrows shoot up. I nod. "Well, she was being a bitch."
