Tom's POV
~~~~~~~~~~
Brianna holds hands with me as we walk toward the ice cream parlour."Do you know what do I want?" James asks from beside me.
I look down at him and smile, holding his hand with my free one. "Chocolate?"
"Yup. And do you know what do I want it with?" His smile etching wider in his face.
"Chocolate sauce?"
"Yup." He nods. It's has always been his usual.
We enter the ice cream shop through the wide doors and are greeted by a very friendly Pecky.
"Hello, guys," Pecky says. She works here. We went to high school together.
"Hello, Peck," I say.
"I want Chocolate ice cream with chocolate sauce!" James yell.
Peck laughs. "No hi?"
He smiles sheepishly. "Sorry, hi."
She shakes her head, chestnut curls swaying back and forth. "Okay, good boy, what do you want?"
He frowns. "I'm James. Not good boy. But I want chocolate."
With another laugh, Pecky writes it down and turns to me raising her eyebrows. "The usual?"
"Yup." I nod.
She turns her head to Berianna and asks her. Brianna says that she'd like vanilla and mango.
A preppy girl with dark curly hair and tanned skin that stand out with those pair of blue eyes, sits down on the booth next to ours. I study her carefully as Pecky takes her order. She smiles a lot.
A while after, another girl with light brown hair -almost blonde-, tanned skin -not as tanned as the other one, but still tanned- and brown eyes comes in.
Girl Number Two looks around the restaurant, her eyes roaming as if she's searching for something. Her eyes finally land on mine. They flicker between James and I.
Girl Number One turns her head to the door and sees Girl Number Two. Her eyes widen and her feet start walking toward her.
Girl Number Two notices and hugs her.
"Hello, Megan," Girl Number Two says.
"Hello, Mia. Wow! I haven't expected to see you here. Nice to meet a familiar face!" Megan -I guess- chirps.
Mia pulls Megan in a corner and starts whispering something in her ear quickly. Megan's forehead ceases in concentration. She's about to turn her head, but Mia holds her chin and brings her gaze to hers.
"... are you even listening to me?" James sighs from beside me.
"Oh, sorry, kid. What did you say?" I put my arms around his shoulders.
"I was telling you that your ice cream is melting." He huffs, annoyed that I haven't heard him from the first time.
I look down and sure enough, my ice cream is melting.
"It would taste like shit if you ate it now," Berianna chimes in.
"It's just a matter of physical state. An ice cream is an ice cream. Even if it's gas," I say.
"What is shit?" James wonders aloud. I glare at Berianna.
"Don't say that, kiddo," A girl's voice sounds beside us. I look up and find Mia, Girl Number Two. Her voice is soft as she talk with James.
