What the fuck just happened? Johnson thought as he sat on a gurney. He had been for a few hours now, arms cross and eyes focused on Kevin, who had been knocked out. Kevin was in the gurney opposite Johnson, lying in a peaceful sleep.

Pyrrha being Myrrah's daughter!? How is that even possible? Who the hell is the father, then?

Groaning, Kevin rolled his head from side to side. Johnson sat up straight. Kevin's eyes wondered the room, trying to adjust to the fluorescent lighting.

It was the middle of the night.

Kevin's eyes set on Johnson.

"Where's Pyrrha?" Kevin groaned.

"She's gone." Johnson said sombrely, shaking his head. "Taken by Queen Myrrah."

Kevin sprung upwards. "Queen Myrrah." He breathed. "I'm not surprised."

Johnson's brow furrowed, did he hear right?

"Not surprised?" Johnson said suspiciously. Kevin sighed.

"You mercenaries work for her, don't you?" Kevin said.

"What makes you think that we---"

"I know you do." Kevin interrupted. "I know because I used to be one."

"What!?" Johnson exclaimed. "How does that explain your COG tags? You had them tattooed on you."

"I was a Gear afterwards." Kevin said. "To fully explain this, I need to go back to the start..."

Myrrah was walking down a dirt path. The sun was shining and the birds were chirping happily. The grass was starting to get a little long, but it didn't matter, because spring had arrived and small flowers complimented the healthy green grass perfectly. She passed the occasional tree that provided a small reprieve from the heat. It was a beautiful day. She happily walked along the path without fear or worry. She was around 18 years old. She wore the same thing any teenager would wear. A set of jeans with hi-top shoes and a white t-shirt that hugged her slender figure. The shirt had some sort of unreadable motif pasted across it. She walked onwards and came to a cave. The entrance to the cave was decorated with various signs;

Stay out!

Mine is closed until further notice

Stay out!

The cave had a set of railroad tracks coming out of it. They looked like they were being dismantled, but someone didn't have the time to do it. A mine cart laid on its side next to the entrance, completely dislodged from the track.

Myrrah stepped through the mouth of the cave and into inky black darkness. The kerosene lantern casted a diameter of amber light, illuminating the cave just a few feet in front of her. She walked onwards, being careful not to trip on the rail road slacks that were still present. Most of them were missing but if she lost her step on the occasional one she would surely lose her only source of light. The cave seemed to go on forever. The darkness retreated as she walked onwards, revealing the same thing over and over again. The rough walls of the cave, the two rails and the occasional sleeper. There was nothing here.

"Man, what a drag." Myrrah said disappointedly. She spun around to walk back.

There was a figure in her way. It was the giant figure of a Locust Drone. Myrrah leapt into the Drone's arms happily. The Drone cradled her like a baby as he excitedly picked up the tiny Myrrah.

"Mzhyde!" Myrrah shouted excitedly. The giant Drone named Mzhyde carried Myrrah down the mine and into the depths of the Earth.

"Myrrah was an ordinary girl. Just like everyone else. She was the daughter a scientist who worked at the New Hope Research facility and sometimes she would sneak off to explore the mines in the outskirts... There she was confronted by a Locust Drone. She saw it as a monster and freaked out, but the Drone didn't hurt her. Instead he worshipped her...
