"Hi Juliet!" Nancy and Miranda called.
"Hi Nancy, Miranda!" I grinned and waved happily.
The three of us were best friends since forever. We rushed inside school, a bit late and went to the reception.
"Hello Ms. Vanes, could you hand out our schedules please." Miranda asked.
Ms. Vanes gave us her famous crinkled smile as she gave us our schedules. It was our second semester in Wilson's High School. We quietly went up to our lockers. Unfortunately, they were separate.Miranda and Nancy had their lockers side by side but mine was a bit further. Co incidentally it was beside the school hottie, Robert Brian's Locker. I know I've the worst luck ever. You know what's even worse? Robert is a Junior who is dating Catherine Hayes, a freshman like me who is a complete snob. So, I can't even go up to my locker without seeing two of them sucking their faces.
"Earth to Jules, whats up?" Nancy asked.
"Nothing, just wondering how Catherine and Robert's doing?" I said.
My bffs made a face.
"Michael said that Robert and Catherine could not withstand the separation and broke up middle of the holidays. But Catherine could not live without her Rob, so apparently got back together." Miranda said.
"How did Michael come to know so much? Its not like he is best mates with Robert." I asked.
Miranda shrugged.
"Look there's Michael. We can ask him now." Nancy said.
Truly, Miranda's older brother, Michael Whitlock was standing with a group of guys who were maths nerds. Michael was an amazing student and topped his class with record marks last semester. He was quite popular too because unlike other geeks, he was really handsome with perfect features. He was undoubtedly the second best looking guy in the entire school, best tome cause I hate Robert like anything.
" Lets no disturb him now." I suggested. " He looks busy"
"He is always busy. For the past few weeks, he stays in his room and refuses to come downstairs unless its time for meals or bathing." Miranda complained.
"Oh!" I gave a very wise remark. NOT.
"Anyways, girlfriends, we are getting late for first class which is unfortunately World Civilization." Nancy said.
"Let's go." I agreed.
Hands in hands we moved towards World Civilization.
"Phew!! I am so not going to take World Civ and Algebra next year." Miranda protested. "I am so confused about everything."
"You have your brother to teach you. What will happen to me? Jules, you have to help me." Nancy said.
I smiled tiredly. Four periods of consecutive tough classes had worn me out too.
"I am available. I could teach you during off period in home room." I suggested.
"That sounds good enough. Michael will be there too, I heard he has got 6th period off. So, we can learn together with additional inputs from my brother."
Homeroom class was filled as usual. It was a free time for studying or doing extra curriculum. Michael was there as well, working on his new computer program.
"Hey, brother." Miranda sat next to him.
"What do you want, Miranda?" Michael asked, raising his eyebrows.
