A Week passed since Miranda went missing. Things were pretty normal. There had been no more weird incidents. Miranda was recovering fast from her shock. I was still confused as to what happened to her. But I knew better than to question her. Her emotions were too vulnerable. Both Michael and I talked to her very cautiously. Carol and Nancy were none wiser. Richard and Miranda were back on track, going about their usual 'Romeo & Juliet' love.
"Juliet!" Carol called me.
I looked at her, "What's up?" I asked.
"Jack Holland is looking at us." She giggled.
"Not Again!" I groaned.
I turned to my left to see what Carol said was indeed true.
Jack was looking at me. He was a junior and was in PE and Homeroom with me. Jack was standing next to Michael.
I decided to talk to Jack and ask him to stop this infatuation. It was pretty irritating.
"Miranda!" I hissed.
"Yes, Juliet?"
"I need to speak to Jack Holland." I murmured.
She looked at me with a curious look.
"Do you like him or something?" She asked.
I rolled my eyes.
"On the contrary, he is the one, staring at me. I need to tell him off."
"Okay, Carol, Nancy and I'll distract Mr. Kay. You go, interchange place with my brother." She said.
I nodded.
We got into action at once. Carol pretended to be sick.
"Mr. Kay, Mr. Kay!" Nancy called. "Carol is not feeling well."
Mr. Kay looked in our direction.
"Carol, what is the matter with you?" He asked, moving closer.
"I feel dizzy Mr. Kay." she replied.
Carol was really an amazing actress. I somehow controlled my laughter.
Mr.Kay squatted beside Carol and tried to understand what was wrong with her. Finally, he got up and declared, "Children, I will just drop Carol to the infirmary. No one is to move from their place. All of you practice marching for Independence day. Mr. Whitlock, please lead."
Michael made a face.
Mr. Kay left with Carol. Immediately, everyone burst into chatter. Michael came up to the forefront.
"Guys, we should obey Mr. Kay."
"Man, just chill." Robert said.
"Let him do his job, Robert." I protested.
