A short but sweet update for my lovelies to give an idea what this one is going to be all about. COMING SUPER SOON :)
Have you ever met a couple who got no honeymoon but a permanent, well almost permanent address change? Well, meet us the all new Mr and Mrs Neil Singh. Here we are exactly one week into our wedding being sent off to the airport in a super blingy golden yellow anarkali, extended relatives and a good bye party where tears are more prominent than laughter.
Let me begin from the starting, one week back I married my childhood sweetheart who had always apparently loved me. The marriage was a lot more fireworks than expected. From my cold feet to Neil's cousin getting married anonymously on our pooja to his mother blaming my morals, its been a tough ride. The last week was all about flimsy dinners, me visiting my parents because I miss them and Neil telling me that the Singapore office needs him back asap. And we can roam around Singapore as our honeymoon!
I'm not pleased, my idea of honeymoon was frolicking a nice coastal place with loads of champagne, clubbing, cabanas and you get the drift, I hope. We had already explored most of Singapore and to shift as Neil called it 'for a few months' meant leaving my job. I clearly needed a break from these dinners and family gatherings but Singapore was not what I expected. My bags were packed with masalas and mithais. The goodbye party ended and we made our way to the overloaded (with relatives) and my parents car. I looked back at our houses, I would surely miss them. Neil and I were neighbors before becoming a couple. Tears pricked my eyes, my mom dad would be lonely, I was leaving behind a super pregnant with twins best friend and my job I had finally aced at. This goodbye hurt, Neil on the other hand was busy on the phone with his office work in Singapore, maybe I too could find work and friends there.
How does this teaser feel? Tell me people and please do not forget to vote :)
