Confused love

Once Nick and I made it back to our street. Which is Main ST. which is basically where almost everyone lives. Nick and are next door neighbors and Jaiden lives across the street. We are in the middle of the street and BAMM! He kisses me smack on the lips and just walks into his house leaving me in the middle of the street confused. That when I here feet come running towards me. It's Jaiden and he asks me..........

"Are you and Nick together cuz if you are I need to talk to you well I need to talk to either way but are you with Nick?" I think wondering what he has to talk with me about but I just answer.

"No I honestly I have no clue what that was for."

"Oh well I need to talk to you." He says as he grabs my hand and looks into my eyes. "Brenna truth is I really really like you and I just couldn't bare to see you go to the hunger games without you. I entered my name 59 times just to be sure that I would be in the games with you."

"What if I don't get picked I only entered my name 39 times."

"Well first my sister is in charge of putting in all the names. She says all of the girls only entered their name once you entered yours 39. You will probably be the one reaped." He says real confident.

"But what if I'm not. What will you do than go risk your life and than let everyone blame me when you don't return home.?" I say furious not understanding why he would do that.

"I have a plan B don't worry." I wasn't worrying I just don't want to be blamed for his death. But all of a sudden he looks deep into my eyes. My eyes that change color according to the season. At the moment they are a cold gray with a hint of green. And that's when Jaiden whispers............

"I love you." And then he leans in and kisses me too. I'm surprised shocked confused but dreamy at that moment. I can't believe he just did that. He walks back into his house but never taking an eye off me.

After his door is shut my older sister Kadi yells out our window.

"Come on you two timing Juliet we have to get ready." Oh how my sister just shouts it out like she couldn't care less. God I love her but she just can be loud sometimes. As I come in the house I notice my youngest siblings on the couch. David 9, Elise6, Andrew 5. They really don't understand to much about today. We told the one of us older three might be going away for a while. They believed it. My mother doesn't allow them to come to the reaping she locks them I there bedroom and then locks the house up and makes them await till we come home. David is 9 so I have made small talk with him about it and he understands.

"So you were able to smuggle two today." Kadi says as I enter our room as if I committed a crime no one knows but her.

"Nick is unpredictable and I have no clue what it was for but ohh the second one now that wasn't no behind the school house run away never see you again that was real. And I know he did the whole school house thing to you. I'm sorry." Kadi and I are only a year apart and of course we would fight over boys or have the same crushes but her crushing on a boy younger isn't normal it usually the other way around. But anyways I fear her respond.

"Brenna the day behind the school house he asked for my approval to like you and I said if he breaks your heart I will ruin him so he was allowed to but there was my rule. And I would never kiss him I was about to slap him till I heard the question." Not so fearful now I think. I'm actually proud she didn't tear him to pieces then she is the over protective type and so am I but. It as much as she is.

"So I can date him?" I ask praying she says yes.

"Yes but you have to tell me everything that happens between you two promise."

"Promise." We hug and then I shower and put on my Black and Tan lace dress with the black lace bow on the back neckline and then I braid my hair. Normal side braid. I was scared nervous but ready.
