EMERGENCY! Halloween

      The kids had gotten two large handfuls of candy each from the Chet and visited some other houses on the block. By now the sidewalks were crowded with excited children. It was about  an hour after they left now.
      "This isn't bad so far. It's actually easy! I don't know what you were talking about" Gage said to his partner as the the kids ran up to another house. Roy groaned. "You probably just jinxed us" he said "and even if you didn't... it'll get worse" John just scowled at Roy for the comment.
      "Roy! Johnny!" The paramedics looked up at the sound of their names and looked across the street.
      The house was decorated in orange and purple lights with friendly jack-o-lanterns and fake spider webs. There was a radio playing kid friendly Halloween songs and two smiling people sitting on lawn chairs at the end of a driveway with a very familiar Australian Shepherd in between them.
      They both smiled at seeing the head nurse at Rampart, Dixie McCall, Stanley the dog, and Dr... Superman? "Com'mon kids! We're gonna head across the street real quick." Roy said then added to Johnny "Can you make sure they all cross safely?" "No problem pally"
      Dr. Kelly Brackett was Genevieve's father which explained why they looked so much alike.
      Roy looked for cars before dashing across the street to join the two. "How's it goin' so far Roy?" Dr. Brackett asked in amusement watching the kids file across the street; his feet propped up on a stool. "Aww pretty good so far. How's Genevieve?"
      Dixie sighed with a small smile "She's gotten sick twice now but she's resting. She'll be ok. Hi Johnny" she added the last part as John Gage came up with the kids and smiled.
      "Here" Dr. Brackett said to the kids taking his feet off the stool "grab a handful" he smiled as they all took as big of a handful as they could. "Hey! I'm a doctor to. Did you steal my outfit?" "No sir" Robert laughed "Well... ok if you're sure."
      Kelly looked around for a moment then up at Roy. "I thought Genevieve said you had six kids." Dixie adjusted herself to look behind her chair as Johnny spun around to look across the street. Roy groaned "Johnny!"
       Gage looked up wide eyed "Roy they were here! They were here!" "Well obviously not. Peter is missing!" Roy started pacing.
       Peter was know for being a walking danger zone. He could trip over anything and get stuck like nobody's business. In fact the first time Roy'd met the child he was stuck in the back fence.
      "Well come on everyone we have to find him. Oh don't tell Genevieve at least not yet! Please?" Dixie nodded as she said "No problem Roy. We'll take care of Genevieve"
