Spectres, or Shadow Snakes, are serpents made of shadow. They can fly, and move around through any darkness. Like shades, they would be incinerated if they were caught in the light. The bite of a spectre will leave any mortal in a cationic state. The skin of a bitten person will start to turn grey or white, and they will die and turn into a zombie within a few hours. Spectres feed off of the flesh of zombies and nothing else. It is extremely hard to see a spectre, because they blend in with the shadows. A common way to kill one is to flash it with a flashlight, or other light source. They're not as fast or agile as shades. Spectres tend to invade people's homes at night while they sleep to prey on them. Sometimes, even when they're full, they'll enter a household and hide like a pest until they are hungry again. For unknown reasons, spectres don't hunt around ghosts. If there is a ghost in a building, all the people inside are safe from spectre bites, for the spectre won't give any out.
